So with this new and increased sponorship is anyone able to make an educated guess as to how much we will be able to spend in the coming transfer windows?
We should be able to spend 60-70m net every summer comfortably which is more than enough to maintain the squad, with a bit of extra leeway to cover the times we need to spend more. As inflation goes up further in football we'll need to increase revenues in line with it.

I agree, but for next summer more than that. I think about £100m next summer because we have £23m in the bank now from Garcia and Rodwell sales + we get £24m from Negredo next summer. But yeah £70m is more than enough to shuffle up the squad every now and then.

+ not to forget our academy which hopefully will be producing in couple of years time.

You could also ask the question 'how many players can we loan from other CFG clubs' as that may be relevant too.

And doesnt Arsene know it.

More than that! If our projected revenue of £380m for 2014-2015 is correct and our wage budget remains around £230m, that leaves a monstrous excess for transfers.

Wage bill will be less than that. Probably under £200m in the near future. How do you know that our projected revenue is £380m for 2014-15? Haven't seen that anywhere,

70-80m on transfers will also add onto the wage bill as well don't forget.

Depends who goes in and out true, but I think overall we would see it increase over the longer period. We could probably go out and spend £150m in one window if we chose to but we couldn't do it on a yearly basis without becoming handicapped by increasing amortisation. £70-80m would be manageable on a yearly basis with extra available to cover big marquee signings or periods where we need to rebuild the squad.

Re: City & FFP (continued)

Well well , Messrs Wenger and Platini , not forgetting our German friend Herr Rummenige , here comes an object lesson in being careful what you wish for!
You pontificated to us that football clubs should be run on a sustainable business model ( even though your FFP bears virtually no resemblance to normal business practices) - well guess what? You're going to see a business the like of which has never been seen before in football.
How are you planning to stop us now?
