Think so yeah
My mates are going all in on a whatsaap group after one posted this Nick Harris Twitter thread.
I have covid and really can't be arsed dealing with it. Anyone got something handy for me to refute?
I took the time to read through the judgement again last week strangely enough in slow time. I remember seeing the payment details listed and thinking fuck me that's 70+ million a season until I read the full section and came to the same conclusion you did that it covers more than that period alone and the payments were haphazard and on a need basis. I was surprised at the time I read it that no journalist had picked up on it, but then again I doubt many really read it as there was a narrative to stick to. Looks like Nick the prick has been desperately looking for something to crow about since Masons excursion into Police custody. My suspicion is that the sponsorship was spread over multiple seasons but payments were irregular, with us calling them off as we needed them.
CAS only detailed payments in those 4 seasons so its possible we got nothing in that 2014/15 season, or a minimal amount. So effectively it's £220m over 5 seasons, which is £44m a season, for the shirt and stadium (the academy wasn't yet in place then). Hardly excessive for a PL winner and regular CL participant.

Confused.
Why 5 seasons? It's 4 isn't it - unless I'm missing something? 12-13 13-14 (14-15) 15-16
Without reading the CAS doc again for the fine detail, I thought it was the case there was no allegation of disguised owner investment involving Etihad in 14/15 which is not the same thing as saying no sponsorship receipts from Etihad for the year.
I understand that the 220m might be for 4 years rather than 3 ie an average of 55m per year but don't understand why PB has gone with 220m for 5 years at 45m per yer average,I think the point is that the 220M (for argument's sake) was given as 70M, 80M, nil, 70M on a season basis.
Harris has then returned that as a 3-year sponsorship deal not a 4 year one.
I don't think there was a real issue as the accounts were read in 3 year blocks for FFP accounting.
I guess there's a difference between 45M/year each year for 4 years, and 220M over 4 years.

Nearly £2bn in TV money in 13 years? Can that be right?

He should fit right in on here, particularly on the match thread. Knowing your arse from your elbow is not a prerequisite to venture into that viper's nest.I don't think that **** knows what he's talking about to be honest.
