City Matters thread

Can’t believe this only got one like, think it’s what happens when things are going well on the pitch mate, we like to light the torches & arm with pitch forks for any cause, back to the football hopefully….. until we find out she’s been on a jolly up for years, cup final tickets, pre match meals, player merch, celebrity meets, tea & biscuits, plus one tickets, use of a box, all for fweeee
Plus if she spoke to JB before I do then…… ohhhh you really don’t want to know what might happen!!! ;-) ;-)

Ive been out all day and just got back so I've not been through the thread on the North Stand. I'm guessing you've got all your answers from the club announcement. Just to add, they assured us they'd not given names any consideration yet.

Phew! Good to hear. Thanks mate.

I and many others gave City Matters the benefit of the doubt after Chelsea fan gate. We were promised better communications and it hasn’t really happened. I’m not much of a fan of these statements on price increases etc. I know you have a really tough gig and didn’t control ticket prices. It seems some of the reps are preoccupied with away tickets

I honestly think City matters reps should all resign and put on record it's due to their lack of having any sway with the club and the club not taking them seriously . I don't blame any of the reps they have a thankless task and it's clear from the events of yesterday both the Madrid ticket fiasco and the renewals increase that the club are just using them as fall guys and pay no attention to them on most of the major things that matter to supporters.

After the city matters statement calling for no increases fell on deaf ears and more so the fact that the club didn't even forewarn the city matters reps that this email about increases was conveniently dropping at 6pm at the start of a long bank holiday weekend it's clear City's upper management have no respect for them so enough is enough and if i was a part of it my resignation would be in.

Wouldn't surprise me if City released a 'after consultation with city matters' email like they have done before to deflect any blame to City matters rather than themselves.

Enough is enough guys you've tried your best it's been appreciated but the club are taking you for mugs.

Is there any point in having city matters?

They clearly have no influence or say over anything the club do. They released statements against price rises and the Madrid ticket criteria and it achieved nothing.

They’d be better off resigning and helping to form a proper supporters trust alongside the other city fan groups. Seems like they genuinely care about these issues, but it’s pointless with this club

To be fair the tweet came out after the fiasco yesterday and the tickets had already sold out. City Matters should have been on the case as soon as the criteria was announced not after the horse had already bolted. For any meaningful change you have to be pro-active not re-active.

The club knew full well what they were doing yesterday both with the semi-final ticket sales and seasoncard rises but did it anyway. We'll probably have some hollow assurances that 'lessons have been learnt' and that it won't happen again.... until next time.

I dont think the club would give a flying if they all resign to be honest but agree that they should.

Thankless task, I wouldnt want to do it.

The club is a very different animal to the one old timers like me started supporting.

I have read this forum..to be fair there are people like PB and others who in all likelihood give up free time and maybe just get travelling expenses..I do not know..maybe nothing.Probably nothing.
But you are missing the point. It is not City Matters. It is the Club totally failing to listen and do WTF they like..of course minutes should be available, of course they should listen. But if they do not do so it is not down to CM. I hope that the CM meetings are open to supporters to attend. That should be the case. So, after many years of success the powers that be do their own thing and how can you argue with that ? Indeed there is a part of me that likes the German model of Club ownership. Free tickets on the trams, yes please.Listen to fans, yes please.Sort the travelling infrastructure for a Club that brings so much to the local economy.Yes please.CM are constrained, it is so obvious.
