I do have an issue with season tickets and seats only being used for big games. That needs to be addressed by the club as City fans want season tickets. As with others, my issue is the 10 game rule which was brought in by the club this season. Did it used to be 14 or was it 12 games? If it was 14 games, why drop in to 10 games? Why such a big drop? If it was 12 games, that is probably justifiable by the club.

I’ll make 10 home games this season, but I have already missed a couple of games due to work. My life and other City fans life’s don’t revolve around match days. Some City fans will struggle to meet the 10 game criteria through no fault of their own, and will be punished by the club by possibly having their season tickets taken off them by the club.

Over the last few seasons I don ‘t think the directors have been treating sections of our fan base very well, namely our loyal, local, legacy fan base. There has been a growing disconnect between the directors and the fans.

Even the best connected fans get nothing out of anybody these days and that must be orders from above. I don't really have any bother with them running a tight ship when you consider how successful we have been since the takeover. Everybody who was slightly in the know when English people owned the club heard all the gossip, but we were not considered successful in those days. So weighing up how we are now and whatever we were then I have accepted it and look forward to maybe more Agueroooo days and maybe even eclipse the best 5 and a half minutes of football I have seen City play in the title winning game against Villa a few seasons ago. Anyway keep taking your photos, which I enjoy, have a moan now and then as it is what a forum is about.

The 14 was usage last season, 16 this.

There was never a personal usage minimum, but the club could take your season ticket off you if you listed it on the exchange 10 times of more, in a little known rule in the terms and conditions a couple of years ago.

Hopefully after Sheikh Mansour intervened personally at the end of last season the disconnect between the directors and the fans will start to improve, with the club building bridges with the fans once again?

The protests took place over six months ago and I don't recall any action by the club to build bridges with the fans since then. Unfortunately I can't see them being sensible during the season if we sell a significant number of the extension seats once it opens.
What I'd really like is CL progress, an early collapse by Arsenal, City winning the PL and still empty seats at home (good line for a song) because the club fucked up. That might concentrate their minds for next season.

So the big reduction in matchday prices (up to 43%) and the ST's being frozen, not to mention the 4,000+ new FG's (50% for Junior Blues) isn't in reply to the protests? What else do you think they should have done?

I really don't get this "I want to see an empty stadium" thinking. Not appearing until 10 minutes in, yes, that's effective but hoping that nobody buys a ticket is just small time to my thinking.

I was thinking more about the maximum number of games missed limit and restrictions on transferring tickets from fans who can't go to fans who want to go without them being lost on the exchange.
The ticket price reduction and freeze on ST prices were very welcome, but only required due to the greed of the club during the last ten or twelve seasons.
And then we have a few hundred fans shifted for the additional GA+ tickets in the north stand. Why not just put these in the extension so nobody has to move?

There was never a 10 game personal attendance policy before this season and we are the only club in the PL to introduce one as yet.

I didn't say there was a minimum 10 game must attend policy before this season. I stand corrected if I did post that. I wasn't sure if it was 14 or 12 must attend games before that was reduced to 10 games this season.

It wasn't any of the above. There has been a target for either attending or selling your seat on the exchange for a couple of seasons (I think). The personal attendance target was introduced this season and will no doubt be increased in subsequent seasons.

We are in this category. We will genuinely struggle through a combination of distance (250 miles away), age/illness and kick off times. ironically when we cant make it our season tickets go on the exchange and are always sold. I fully expect us to lose our season tickets at the end of this season.

If i remember correctly nobody was press ganged to get off their sick bed or miss a family wedding to ensure they personally attended a game before this season. The criteria was if you couldn't attend you put it onto the seat exchange. So long as you did that you were covered. If the club didn't sell your ticket you got bugger all you just lost the money. Once people have paid for a season upfront they shouldn't have to fret everytime they can't make a game for whatever reason that they're going to fall foul of this ten game personal attendance rule. Those thinking they've found a way around it will be scuppered when they activate the facial id, which eventually they will.

Well said. Much as I enjoy this forum I am sick of the constant moaning. Bluemoon is a small demographic compared to our huge support base. Most people love going to matches and support the club through thick and thin. That’s the whole point of being a football supporter. It’s not compulsory to be a City fan. If you dislike the club so much you can stop and do something else with your life,

Great post mate. I know there are other Blues on here - who might not post often - but share our view point.

Sometimes I might look at us through Blue tinted spectacles. Other times I don’t give enough credit like Danny Wilson being at Bill de Niro’s death bed side and the Club’s support for Guy Bradshaw.

When you are part of a club / tribe you take the rough with the smooth IMHO. If we aren’t up for it on Saturday, Leeds will take the piss.

As far as the people being moved (whatever the number may be) it's for the City Hall GA+ gubbins, for access it had to be in the bottom tier. There may be another GA+ section in the upper tier for the Crossbar but that's an unknown until early in the year.

The problem with moving fans for any GA+ or hospitality seats is that this is the fourth time fans have been moved with no consultation. Joe's and 93:20 ten years ago followed by the Tunnel Club. And even earlier some fans didn't get the equivalent seat to their seat at Maine Road due to corporate/hospitality sections in the East Stand, and possibly in the Colin Bell stand.

I've had a season ticket for over 30 years and this is the first season I've missed a bunch of games for work , holidays etc.
I will make the 10 minimum comfortably but at 63 to be monitored re a product i have spent £000s on in the past leaves a sour taste and i really don't feel like a valued lifelong customer this season.

Yes same here. Tomorrow will be my fourth home match of the season so I might struggle if games start to get moved at the back end of the season.

Missed Liverpool as the 4:30 Sunday kick offs make the drive back in the dark even less enjoyable and I had just done the same for the Bournemouth match. Missed the Derby due to my partner running her first marathon, which she booked long before the fixtures came out.

Booked the train tomorrow. Will have to leave the house 5:45 and get home about 11 but hopefully it will prove more relaxing than the drive. Sadly it’s not often the trains are affordable.

If the club take my season ticket off me I won’t ever set foot in the ground again.

We have a four hour drive to the Etihad so it’s a whole weekend and overnight stay tfor us. Will do our best to do 10 games but it will be touch and go. It’s not as if we ever left our seats empty but it is what it is.

Same here my seat was always filed. When I’ve done over nighters the extra expense plus a day off work is a killer. Not expecting a pat on the back but don’t like being threatened with my ticket being removed.
