City v Arsenal Post Match

S**t day but these things happen. I'm going to save every headline printed tomorrow and already got a load from pundits on Twitter who are crowning Chelsea as champions.

Long way to go yet and our last two title wins prove that we don't give up easily.

Not that I'm happy with this loss, but it now means chelsea have a bit of breathing space, which isn't always a good thing. If they make any mistakes, were the best team in England for taking up on a chances of other teams mistakes.

Who's giving up?

Everybody loses, that's football. However, it's often how you lose and we were utter shite today.

I don't think it's the end of the world when we lose. I will however call a spade a spade i.e. if i see a disgusting performance I'll label it as such like today.

Now this thread is for those who may wish to discuss why we were so bad, what went wrong or merely to vent their frustrations instead of going into dozens of other threads. So if you wish to move on from the match then don't wander into the relevant match's thread and tell others who may wish to disucss it not to, and move on.

That's not "weak" it's common sense.
Common sense would be to realise bad performances happen to even the best sides and that we have had them before and won titles.
This isn't a "other previous bad matches" thread is it?

It's the Arsenal post-match thread to discuss the Arsenal match that just happened.

Again, everybody wants to move on but that doesn't mean people can't voice their concerns or frustrations over an inexcusbale performance.

I assume you know this but just want to talk down to people.
Look im not havin a go at you it just gets on my nerves some of the shite some people post, theres some guy 2 pages back saying its all over now and hopefully we can win the fa cup. I assume he's been a city fan since september.

Pellegrini never learns at all. Fernando is like a statue, how he stays on regularly instead of ferandiniho is just poor management. Navas is useless. he didn't fancy him last year yet now when other teams have strengthened he thinks he's the answer. Burnley and Sunderland rang the alarm bells yet out we go and walk into the same trap only against more talented attackers. Never mind the media wankfest over how brilliant arsenal were, the next few weeks will show how inaccurate that is. we have a fortnight to prepare for the chavs yet out we'll go again with the usual naivety and get picked off on the break. Let's surprise them and go route one!

Agreed, we should get Andy Carroll in

Miserable effort considering what was at stake.

I hope Chelsea don't turn up on Jan 31 otherwise it could be embarrassing.

We have been defensively poor now for a while and it has to change or else the sides below us will get a real sniff of overtaking us.

First time we have conceded two goals in three consecutive league games for 12 years.

At least navas attempted to make things happen, what about fernando what does he bring to the party

I'm Hoping he injures Nogo Navas, oh and Samba.

Every teams game plan, let Navas have the ball, we will get it back from corner after he's got it under control of course.

could have played all night and we still wouldnt have scored. we are clueless against teams who sit deep and hit us on the counter. Happens far to often. No point in giving us corners any more, they are more dangerous to us than the opposition if we keep hitting the first man, and navas' final ball is atrocious.

Fernando leaves all the work to Fernandinho so dinho ends up burning out before the 70 minute mark and dinho is prone to making ridiculous mistakes after the 70 minute mark.

A disappointing result against an Arsenal side who for once were set up perfectly to beat us. They sat deep and gave us possession then broke with pace, Sanchez and Cazorla's dribbling was excellent. They were hungrier in the middle and pressed us so quickly that we couldn't feed Silva or Aguero. No complaints from me about the result but we've seen this side bounce back so many times it'd be daft to think we won't do it again. Chelsea away seems the perfect opportunity.
