Today we got outwitted by Wenger.
18 corners should create a few chances but our failure to vary them made it so easy for their defence to cope. Not a single short corner!

we didnt get outwitted at all........with the injuries and absennces we had their game plan was simple.....stop silva getting the ball....thats hardly genius tactics.

they cheated for the first goal and after that we were always going to be vulnerable and yet it took a set piece and a lapse of concentration by fernando for them to get a second

I really hope that 35milion Mangala deal doesn't back fire. I've been really thinking about that deal and i just don't know why we didn't spend that money on a proper winger. We could have done with Vinny, DM, Sagna, Boyata and either one of Denayer / Rekik.

Everybody loses, that's football. However, it's often how you lose and we were utter shite today.

I don't think it's the end of the world when we lose. I will however call a spade a spade i.e. if i see a disgusting performance I'll label it as such like today.

Now this thread is for those who may wish to discuss why we were so bad, what went wrong or merely to vent their frustrations instead of going into dozens of other threads. So if you wish to move on from the match then don't wander into the relevant match's thread and tell others who may wish to disucss it not to, and move on.

That's not "weak" it's common sense.

Common sense would be to realise bad performances happen to even the best sides and that we have had them before and won titles.

This isn't a "other previous bad matches" thread is it?

It's the Arsenal post-match thread to discuss the Arsenal match that just happened.

Again, everybody wants to move on but that doesn't mean people can't voice their concerns or frustrations over an inexcusbale performance.

I assume you know this but just want to talk down to people.

1 defeat in 13 is a fantastic record. However, look at the one defeat and see how poorly we played, that can't be ignore regardless of previous games. The manager and players qill want to know what happened and wont say "ah it was the first in so long" they'll look to see what went wrong, like the posters in here . You're saying you're not ignoring it but telling othera who may wish to discuss it to move on.

You have used that word three or four times now Pudge. Look it up and stop being a drama queen. If it was truly inexcusable then we should sack the team and management team or else stop supporting the lads.

It was a bad day at the office no doubt but we will bounce back. I expect us to go unbeaten for the rest of the season after the Chelsea game.

Pellegrini never learns at all. Fernando is like a statue, how he stays on regularly instead of ferandiniho is just poor management. Navas is useless. he didn't fancy him last year yet now when other teams have strengthened he thinks he's the answer. Burnley and Sunderland rang the alarm bells yet out we go and walk into the same trap only against more talented attackers. Never mind the media wankfest over how brilliant arsenal were, the next few weeks will show how inaccurate that is. we have a fortnight to prepare for the chavs yet out we'll go again with the usual naivety and get picked off on the break. Let's surprise them and go route one!

Money could have been spent on Fabregas or Sanchez

I dont care if i get called a rag, Mangala isn't a 35M CB...no way. He isn't as good as Varane, Laporte or Marquinhos. He was also playing in a shit league.
