I was screaming for Kolarov to take that last corner from the right side. I just can't understand why we don't use left footed players for right corners and vice-verse

The corners from the right were awful. big swerving balloon balls. What can any attacker do wiht that? What happened to the ball in to the front post for MDM to flick on?

Agree, our corners are awful. Half of them dont beat the first defender or are outswingers so easy to defend and no pace on the ball

Better team won to be fair. Hart, Navas, Silva and Jovetic all had good games.

Got to bounce back, confident we will.

Just how did Silva (otherwise amazing) have a good game today? Missed our two best chances and was overall invisible, provided nothing. Not his day.

Yes very weird. He just doesn't get that some games require 3 midfielders. And frankly Edin and Alvaro just doesn't work at this level.

I'm no master tactician, but I fully expected a change at HT. No point in having 2 strikers when we werent getting the ball anywhere near them. Luiz was man marking Silva. We needed to drop a striker and bring in Jovetic to float in the space left by Silva.
He did this brilliantly when he came on, but it was way later than it should have.

Chelsea were excellent tbf. That's how to defend under pressure!
Our midfield was clearly unable to cope with Hazard who ran the show for them. I agree with all those who say Ferna would have made a big difference there.
Ultimately the losses of Ferna and Kun probably made the difference.
Jovetic looks a very good player; can't wait to see him with Aguero.
By no means the end of the world but well pissed off right now.
Onwards and upwards.
