Worst performance of the season? MDM was not the answer tonight, would've gone with Vinny quicker but Negredo looked unfit, Dzeko was not effective in any way and if ever we missed the skittish runs of Nasri and Kun, it was tonight. Still, we are second, we are still the best team in the country, but maybe now we will respond a la Munich, regroup and press on from this. Chelsea, not Arsenal are our biggest threat. This was always the case. Kick in the backside we needed because we were starting to heed this quadruple nonsense. Let's take it one game at a time starting with Norwich and see where it gets us.
 
At fear of getting lambasted gonna add my opinion. Don't think mourinho played that differently to every other team that has been at the Etihad just had better players who were better drilled. Thought Pellers cocked up more than mourinhio had "a masterclass". Playing 2 in the midfield was suicidal especially without dinho and with Toure being one of them, who although brilliant is lazy. The extra man upfront was no use whatsoever and at least Jovetic came in dropped deep and had a go. Thought Dzeko was alright but when he did cock up it was a massive frustration as it was always at a critical time.
 
Neville is spot on about our left hand side. He's said it for years about silva drifting in and we get exposed. Mourinhos tactics where spot on tonight and pelles was wrong. Add them both togethor and you only get one out come.

Uncalled for. Give him credit at least for being in the position to shoot. He had a poor game shooting but it is horrible how he is your favorite scapegoat.

sorry mate...not trying to scapegoat anyone....he just hasnt performed....he's been missing clear cut and half chances for far too long and far too often...would love to be proved wrong but he's just embarrassing atm

He's had a horrible two games shooting the ball on target. It is fair criticism but I think we just got outplayed tonight. Let's not insult any of our players though.

Congrat to the Chelsea team they tried their best

Well for the game it wasn't good at all and its better that it happened at this stage than later, some players are missing

Don't know if this 2 strikers up front will ever work against compacted teams( Bayern & Chelsea )

If some were thinking barca will be trashed 5-0 here a reality check

some players have to be up for it and hope it will be a lesson for the upcoming final against Sunderland

couldnt understand y jimmy didnt come on tbh, at least he give you 100%. maybe the issue was where would you put him, couldnt see him taking over from mdm. maybe mp thought it wouldnt help, but it didnt help doing nowt
 
I now look back at Mourinho's comments against west ham and realise they were all directed towards this game. All week people were saying he's gonna park the bus and they did the exact opposite and city didn't really see that coming. He really is the best manager out there.

I still say City have the best team and should win the title but it's going to be very close.
