A few major problems presented themselves tonight:

Dzeko is a striker who can't shoot.

Demichellis is a Footballer who can't play football.

And Nastasic, Kolarov & Zabaleta are defenders who can't tackle.

And your a moron.!

If you're going to call someone a moron you have to get the spelling correct. It's basic stuff.

Just back and during my 2 hours driving I confirmed what I knew to be the case as I watched the game; that tonight we were beaten by a better and more organised team.

No post mortems, the game will remain lost regardless.

As they say, you only learn something about yourself when things don't go as expected.

Time to move on to the next game, and if come the end of the season, we don't win the league we just have to accept that we didn't deserve to win the league.

What kept popping into my brain during the drive however, was the parody that might see us as the best team at acquiring goals, but not necessarily the best at acquiring points!

Do you not think Pellegrini got it totally wrong and was outwitted ....

Yes. So what. Win many, lose a few. The title is over 38 games and 9 months, not tonights 90 minutes.

The most important thing about tonight is the reaction to the loss of 3 points not the loss of 3 points.

What was with the traffic before the match?

I took me over an hour to get up the Princess Parkway to the ground.

Missed the first 10 minutes and no time for food or beer :-(

Agreed we were due a defeat, and Chelsea were very good against us tonight. We missed our injured players big time and it showed our squad strength is not what everyone spouts on about, especially in midfield.

Let's hope we can go on another run which is the perfect time to do so, on a brighter note maybe a few managers watching tonight will think it is the way to play and beat us which when we play well will suit us. We had the opportunities tonight and did not take them, that does not happen very often.

Agreed any team that has a player of Boyata's ability on the bench in a game like this deserves fook all. Our squad quality is an Urban myth! It doesn't exist!!

Hard to argue with that. Remember the start of the season when we had Komps out, Nastasic out and brought in MDM and he got injured and we had to play Garcia at centre half. We have a few key players and when more than one or two are injured we turn to poo.

We bottled the biggest game of our season realistically, imo it's a bit of a cop out just to write it off as the sheer weight of probability.

There's probably a bigger issue in there.

Don't read too much into one game. Bad...or good.

It's fair to say our two hardest home games on paper we've lost playing the same tactic and being undone by the same tactic.

Great start for the first 15 mins but we really paid for not converting our early chances. Hate to say it but the better team won. We were lucky it wasn't 2 or 3. No complaints about the ref, he got pretty much everything right. Mourinho got his tactics spot on and Pelle didn't. I can't understand why he didn't try a 2nd or 3rd substitution. Milner or Rodwell for Demichelis would have been worth trying.

We really missed Fernandinho, Aguero and Nasri. Poor performance up front; Dzeko back to normal and the Beast just didn't seem to be up for it.

Anyway we're still 2nd with everything to play for. We just need to write this off as a bad day at the office. There's not too much wrong with the squad and this should stop any complacency setting in.
