City v Chelsea post match

If City had scored when they should, Chelsea would not have had most of the chances they created & wd would be breaking on them rather than the other way around.

Pel will leave rather than change.

He will try to sort out the defence, but they are shit. Much easier to get world class attackers scoring.

why does us scoring effect them creating chances...we already had scored but hey still created.....yet they were creating chances and overloads against our defenders early int he first half

The "if we had scored our chances" is an excuse - chelsea fans could say the same cause they could have had more and us not scoring doesn't account for our shit defenders not our shit defensive tactics

If he is a genius he should be able to adapt to the players he has and make them play better as a team which at least defensively they are well below average

An extremely frustrating afternoon for all sorts of reasons.

Firstly, I predicted at the start of the season that the lack of European football would prove to be a massive advantage for Chelsea and Liverpool.

I now believe that barring a terrible run of injuries, Chelsea will eventually win the Premier League with games to spare. They’re stronger than us, they’ve got a good Manager, and crucially their game management is on a different level.

How many times today was a Chelsea player totally poleaxed, before making a Lazarus-style recovery, once the game had been stopped and City’s momentum slowed?

That sounds like a criticism, but Leicester were equally clever last season.

In contrast, City are a work in progress. We lack Chelsea’s vibrancy, and there’s just too many players struggling to adapt to our new system.

We seem to be top heavy with peripheral lightweight midfielders, and apart from Navas, we lack genuine pace. Our defenders have forgotten how to defend, and our match winners have forgotten how to win matches. Even worse, we allowed Chelsea to bully and niggle, before stupidly losing our heads. How many games will Aguero miss, now that he’s received a second red card this season?

That doesn’t mean that we’re a bad side. We could easily finish 2nd and progress deep into the Champions League. We might even be more fluid without Aguero.

However, this could be an interesting Transfer Window, because once more we’ve allowed the Kompany saga to camouflage our obvious defensive weaknesses.

Because at 2-0 their situation is desperate rather than redeemable with one boot upfield. So the game changes.

I don't know if you played football but going 2 0 down is a big confidence knock and tough to get back from, it also gives us more confidence.

In fact before they scored their defence in fact was literally Shite.

Pep had said it himself, defence starts with good attacking and taking chances

If Ota is a bad defender then the others must be considered atrocious defenders. Ota is actually a good defender, he's just to aggressive at times. This leads to the mistake.
replace the word aggressive with brainless, why does he get shafted one on one time and time again
