City V PSG ticket Prices: Club Statement

They hiked the price of our kid's seat by £500/600 last season so he moved. They renamed where he sat the Joe Hart Experience or some such shit and I've had two lots of 4 freebie tickets to sit there this season as they can't sell the them. Sums it all up for me.
One of those new areas (221 or 222) was half-empty for the derby.

and people on here are surprised that we're being turned into this.....

granted be pissed off but surprised? do not be. Our benevolent owners bought to make money.
A guy worth 500 billion wants to make money off the working class mancunians that supported the club through the hard times? Classless

As we don't owe them anything either.

The one glaring issue with this is that our ground is very regularly unpopulated for these games so we don't have the demand from tourists.

We are that poor at the moment, I can't believe anyone would willingly fork out £55 to sit on the back row of the ES to watch this currently, let alone over a ton to take your couple of kids/16-21.

I see the apologists are focusing on the £40 tickets (which is only £40 if you are a SC holder or citizen member (which you had to pay for).

The upper tier CB and ES which the club are happy to have tiered pricing in for ST, but only one price for this. That's 12,000 tickets at £55 or £50 if you are "fortunate" to get the discount.

There are probably only around 10,000-14000 tickets for our fans at £40-45.
Do you reckon these apologists are legit fans? Hey I'm a city fan and I enjoy being ripped off, it's not that bad ect.....?..

The Sheikh has shown his typically astute business sense. He has invested about £1.25bn and, in selling 13% of the group to Chinese investors for £265m, has an organisation valued at £2bn.

I'd be staggered if he was aware of this fuss and was happy with his executives for bringing negative publicity on us when there was no reason to do so and every opportunity to get hugely positive PR at a time when we've got to the CL QF. Clever businessmen like him don't spoil the ship for a ha'porth of tar.

For some it will be reasonable for others it won't. I'm not grumbling at my ticket price. I expect some kind of hike since the days we played shite against shite teams at Maine Road. These are the games and status that we could only have dreamed of ten or fifteen years ago. And it doesn't come on a bargain basement budget.

Yer can always turn Michael Owen off, AFTER yer've paid yer fiver!
That's great for you but what about those who can't afford it? Are you capable of empathy with them? Do you think the Sheikh needs to hike the prices up?

50% increase from last 16 to Quarterfinal

Anyone else wondering if the semifinal tickets would be £80?

I don't think he's said anything out of order there. It was clear that prices would go up. In 2007/8 ticket revenues from ordinary seats were half what they probably will be this year, albeit on 22 games rather than a minimum 27 this season. On a pro-rata basis that's about £300 per seat for the seadon against something like £540 now.

As a percentage they were about 30% of total revenue compared to less than half that this year. It's difficult to be exact as matchday hospitality revenue was treated as Commercial income until 2011 so you can't get a truly accurate figure for match-day before then.

Having paid £58 for a Boxing Day ticket for the mid table dippers only a couple seasons ago, £60 for champs league quarter final against one of the best teams in europe and some of the best players in europe , is a f8cking bargain , i think the club have bent over backwards to help our supporters with ticket costs , i have taken my grandson to half a dozen cup games and they have cost a fiver each , and £15 for myself .Its the Premiership tickets that should be capped to a maximum of £30 , with the billions of TV cash swilling around in the game.
Thanks Ferran
