City v Stoke Post Match Thread

They wanted it much, much more unfortunately. It reminded me of last season's games against Stoke, Palace & Sunderland at home too.

Not great that there's a two week break and then the trio of fixtures against Arsenal, Bayern & Chelsea. However time to move on and support Everton for a few hours.

Atmosphere was terrible. Im in a terrible mood now. Arsenal away next game and the rags are loving that result
You'll be the bad guy by mentioning it, but it has to be mentioned.

Pull the nervous silence routine in the CL and we'll have no chance

either everyone lives within minutes of the stadium or no one on here goes anymore, never realized how busy it is on here on a match day
Are clubs like Manchester City not allowed to have fans from outside of UK?.

errrmmmm where did I say that. or suggest that ?? . i was just surprised by how busy it is.

Btw did yaya dive? Looked a pen from 102

There was a contact but he made most of it. Some other ref would maybe give it but Mason? No way that c**t would give us anything.

It was a penalty but Yaya went down like a block of f******g flats. Ours was 80% theirs 60% .

have a look again. Theirs was 100% a penalty, as for Yaya, yes there was contact but he made a meal of it.

Yeah Vinny looked very average at times. Hart wtf, his attempts to release the ball are really slow, his kicking is crap and doesn't appear as he has a Scooby as to what is important in his role. Kolarov was gash most of the game but his cowardly run back was shameful.

Goal as result of comedy of errors. Bad corner take as all game long. Fernandinho took a unnecessary yellow earlier in the game, and when he had to make brave tackle let his man run through. Hart pretty bad goalkeeping.

IMO biggest problem was starting Jovetic / Aguero together. They both are poachers. More than not they kill any link play. If you are going to play 2 strikers, you need to partner one of them with Dzeko or Negredo. Also didn't help that Nasri was non-existent in the first half and Silva did nothing after going behind. The only person forcing the play was Yaya. Navas did good job as well when he came on.

This is nothing for us to worry about in my opinion. Stoke put everyone behind the ball and we couldn't find a way through at all. It's happened before and it will happen again but it is very surprising to see us not score at home. Stoke doubled up at the full back position all game, making it near impossible to break them down. It is a game where you need players like Navas, he came on and made the difference but his final ball was woeful every time today.

Just remember Dzeko missed a header from 6 yards, Toure hit the bar and forced a good save from Begovic and there was plenty of wasted opportunities where Navas had got in behind. Nothing to worry about guys, it's a poor result but we'll move on.

Tough three games coming up now after this break.
