Re: Credit where it's due

Nasir's performance will doubtless be lost in the "noise" of the 6-0 defeat, but that was an incredible performance from him. Absolute outstanding.

To be fair, quite a few recognised his contribution in the after-match thread.

A really unselfish, hard-working and creative performance. He orchestrated so many moves.

The fact he didn't score takes nothing away from it.

Back home drinking tea!

And I am going to 'come out' as that seems the fashionable thing to do! Yes right here and right now I am going to admit that I at long last concede that the removal of Mancini, appears to have been the correct thing to do.

There, I have done it!

How could I have been so silly?

Seriously though, I have had the pleasure of witnessing 59 goals in 15 games at the Etihad this season and quite frankly, when I have United fans texting me as I left tonight, saying that City are the most attacking team they have ever seen in British Football you realise after decades of misery that we, our club, typical city no less, have finally arrived at the place otherwise known as 'Footballing Heaven'

I am almost at a loss for words to describe what I have had the pleasure of witnessing this season. Thank God in fact that every game is televised as I am convinced those I tell about what I see would think I am exaggerating.

Thankfully I am not and at long last, when we sing ' the best team in the land and all the world' we are all telling the truth.

Well done Mr Pellegrini.

After the years of shite, there should be queues a mile long for the privelige of watching this team.

I was just about to post something similar - started in 1965 and it's an absolute privilege to watch the games at the Etihad just now. I am going to every game I can - everyone should get a ticket for Blackburn next week, they are pretty reasonably priced and this can't last for ever!

forget "where were you when you were shit?", "where are you now we are shit hot?" seems more apt.

Easy stuff but hopefully it plays us back into a rhythm now as our performances had dropped in recent games, going to be a lot tougher against Newcastle who will make us run till they drop.

Good win, some great goals, lot of humour from the Hammers fan, Tony Cottee looked distinctly unimpressed and great for Lopes to get on and make a good contribution. Dzeko again looked on it, shooting boots at home till the end but his touch and general play was again excellent, really liking the new Edin and hope he keeps it up.

Well done Mr Pellegrini.

I've always loved this song because it meant more than football on the pitch. I think it's even better now. Hope we never lose it - even when the dark clouds return.

Good post, I enjoyed reading that and I agree we're onto something really special now at this club. When we sign Messi next year that's when we'll really take off! Believe blues...believe!

I agree.

I sometimes think we are witnessing the evolution of a team the rest of the world will begin to realise is much better than even we blues could have wished for.

91 goals scored this season so far, after Pellegrini promised us attacking football when he joined us!

He hasn't reneged on his promise, has he?

I'll always be thankful for Mancini and his achievements, but we have stepped up a level this season and the football is a delight to watch.

In the meantime, I'm looking forward to the Barcelona game, just to give a measure of how good, or not so good, we really are.

Is he good enough to get into the team?
