City Vs AjaxPost Game Discussion Thread

complete and utter disgrace. the linesman started putting his flag up for everything the minute we got back in the game. thats not paranoia, thats fucking fact. i was pissed off that we were loosing, but this really has rubbed salt in the wounds.

We have been in the champions league twice, and already some of the decisions that have not gone our way, is an absolute disgrace. 2 pens tonight and a goal - if it was at old trafford all 3 would have been given

blatant pen last week

2 of the most blatant pens i have ever seen away at munich last year

livid...

For a side who had to win this game our first half effort was pityful , Yaya goal aside.

We just didn't seem to be able to compete with Ajax's slicker passing , and the two early goals we conceded were laughable , absolutely laughable.

Much better performance from City in the second half , but still nowhere near enough direct pressure on their goalkeeper applied , aside from the eleventh hour burst which produced a likely looking penalty from the final piece of game action , and an Aguero goal ruled out for offside.

Great strike from Aguero for the one that did count though , but realistically there's little hope for us now ...... the failure to win even a single game so far in this group unfortunately its own story.

Hearing a lot of negatives about our actual performance tonight?

Bar the two absolute shit corner mistakes, I thought the tempo, the movement and creativity was much better than anything else I've seen so far this season, and that no one had a bad game. Worst player for me was Barry, but I'm no Barry hater, but too many off passes.

Agree about Barry, as he was culpable on the second goal and gifted away possession time and again. Then again, he's long in the tooth, and never seems to play well when asked to play twice in one week. Unfortunately, we don't have a better option right now, as Garcia is slow to bed in, and just sloooow generally, and Rodwell has made some colossal blunders when called upon. We really miss Nigel, despite his limitations.

I am not going to contemplate suicide over going out of a tournament we've only ever played in twice.

We weren't good enough again tonight. Spent too much of the match playing at no tempo. Fuck knows what we do in training all week because our attacking play is going backwards. Relying on set pieces isn't good. Relying on desperate late goals isn't good. Relying on a piece of individual brilliance isn't good.

Very very big game against Spurs this weekend now. Can't see us taking more than a point.

Just once can't you just surprise me and give the team some sunshine on a cloudy day ;)

Pleeeease

Alright ... since you've asked so nice ... :)

We're still in this. Just. I want nothing more than for us to turn this slump of performances around. We can beat Madrid and Dortmund, but we must improve. I thought Mario was very good when he came on tonight. Kun slipped twice in crucial moments which was very unlucky.

I am worried about Spurs this weekend, but that's just the fatalist in me. By tomorrow morning I'll be convinced we're going to give them a hiding!

We need to work on keeping possession of the ball. Our defence is poor this season but so is Real Madrid and Barca's but they dominate possession giving the far more clear cut chances than their opponents.

If a blind Danish ref came close to me losing my job i wouldnt be as calm as Roberto, this will hopefully galvanise us to win the league
