City Vs AjaxPost Game Discussion Thread

Tonight Ifelt that the referee was like a Sunday league ref both in his actions and poor decision making. As for those two behind the goals with magic wands WTF ? He clearly bottled the one big decision he had to make.
If that was not a penalty then Ive never seen one in all my 50+ years watching football.Mario did VERY VERY well to hold back from sticking one on him.
The game itself, yes VERY VERY poor marking? at the 2 corners ,when will stop this zonal shite,or at least challenge for the 2nd ball at these set pieces.I think that Kompany & Nastavic will be the regular CB pairing for a few years to come , apart from his poor clearance for the 1st goal I feel he did himself justice and that mistake apart looked composed and confident. It also looked like Kompany was more relaxed with him and was able to get on with his own game
To be fair Ajax have had the greater share of the play over the two games and took the sting out of the game when it looked like City were building up a head of steam
Keano summed it up City just have not had a lot of luck in this years comp, both with the draw and in the games themselves.
Remember miracles can happen .........

I can't imagine tevez making a worst fist of playing midfield than Garcia. fuck me we've been hoodwinked there. Worth a try for me , effort, tenacity, and the ability to pass the ball forward and actually manage to find one of own players. Jesus how often did barry/garcia give up possesion cheaply tonight?

i agree garcia and barry together is suicidal no technique or pace get nasri in the middle and try tevez there keep yaya defensive mid and play silva behind ballo and aguero until january when we get some quality central midfielders.

We weren't good enough again tonight. Spent too much of the match playing at no tempo. Fuck knows what we do in training all week because our attacking play is going backwards. Relying on set pieces isn't good. Relying on desperate late goals isn't good. Relying on a piece of individual brilliance isn't good.

Very very big game against Spurs this weekend now. Can't see us taking more than a point.

Are you basing this on Spurs getting owned by Wigan in their own back yard last weekend or on City's very good showing tonight?

No he's basing it on the view that he thinks Mancini is useless. What's new there then?

They're two bad, bad decisions, but these things happen and as far as I'm concerned it means absolute shit, we got lucky with Kevin Nolan on Saturday and they get lucky here. If this and if that doesn't excuse the fact that we were, attacking-wise, good (after 60'), but defensively we were clueless, zonal marking has to go and Lescott could've been 3ft tall as far as De Jong was concerned. We don't deserve to go through by any stretch of the imagination, we've been piss poor the entire competition.

It's mission 99% impossible now. We have to rely on us beating Real Madrid and Dortmund, two exceptional sides with massive momentum going for them. For me, Mancini just has to now place his weaker squads in the CL. We must focus on the Premier League. We aren't going to do a Chelsea because we are Manchester City and quite frankly our team morale is terrible.

all the officials from denmark and four danish players in the ajax team, why the fuk dont they mix the officials from around europe and have a chosen spoken language

His irrational hatred of Mancini has consumed his eyes Pam.
