City vs Burnley Post Match Thread

Very disappointing to lose a game from such a position of strength and not close that gap to 1 point. Played some lovely stuff first 45 and I thought it was going to be a comfortable 3 points.....there were warning signs from Burnley's front two early doors though and I thought second half that they gave Mangala all sorts of problems and their long ball game worked for them. We never got into any kind of stride second 45 and that happened too at West Brom.Still we are on a great run...put this behind us and go again.

What the hell was that 2nd half? Fucking unbelievable... Linesman cost us the game.
Utter embarrassing bollox. Yeh it was miles offside but that wasnt the reason we lost. Get real. We lost because we were utter crap in the second half and we chose to 'rest' or most attacking goalscoring midfielder a week before we lose him for a month. Ridiculous.
So stop the embarrassing agenda crap. It's cringeworthy and makes us a laughing stock
Merry Christmas

I'm not sure about your definition of "lost" but I do agree that Yaya needed to be in the team today.
Lol good point. Just felt like a loss

Brilliant first half and half arsed second half. Thought Mangala was our worst player. He was all over the shop. Power, pace and aggression and very little up top it seems. Still only 3 points behind and there is still a long way to go yet.
That is a bit harsh Kolarov really left him exposed and with out Yaya no one was making his life easier by giving the option of the easy pass. Ferna really should've made himself available to the defenders more, moves were breaking down from the Zaba's side as well.

Now where have I heard that before?

We can't complain. We weren't ruthless enough. No excuses. Burnley are next to bottom and we can't put them away??
Letting a 2 goal lead slip at home against them is fucking inexcusable!!

A poor call for there first goal but we were fucking shit in that second. Thought the job was done no leadership no nothing. Fucking terrible. MDM and Mangala should be getting the run around from then Burnley players. They made them look fucking world beaters today. I just cant for the life of me see why we didnt see this game out still got the typical City tag even when were winning things. IF we loose the title this season our dropped points at home are to blame dropping points to Stoke and now Burnley are unforgivable and take away those dropped points we would be closer to Chelsea. MP needs to kick some of these players up the arse. Transfer window is opened maybe we need a fresh face or 2 to freshen up this squad. Its just seems like the rollercoaster ride will go on and on a bit longer. Just hope there is no hangover like the game in Russia and we bounce back on New Years Day with a win.

Just like last season it has happend twice now,we had the opportunity to cut the lead but didn't and dropped points on the same day as league leaders,I guess this season we will also win the league by just being at the top for couple of weeks or so in total..
Needless fouls ,and we have had our luck from the offsides last season and this season aswell ,so can't really say much about that
In a game like this milner should play 90 mins
But its to much to ask I guess playing in 48 hours

Our squad is distinctly average. Though we knew that before the season even started.
What are you on about? Nothing average about it at all.

Plain dumb from us second half with Demichelis and Hart gifting them a way back in the game.

You mean the blatant offside goal?

It wasn't offside.

You mean the second, yeah?

Because the first was most definitely offside. Not even the most City-hating pundits could manage to say different.
