City Vs Wigan Official Post Match Discussion Thread

How often in the past could city have missed so many chances and still cruise to a comfortable 3-0 win?. Watchin the blues nowadays is like being a kid in a sweet shop. Really can't get enough of it. Aguero, Nasri and Silva were excellent but what did we expect?. Kompany was his awesome self as usual, Clichy looked very very good down the left too and Richards was solid. That's just a few of the class performances today.

Cant fully agree with you here mate. The penalty was obviously horrendous but his effort today and passing ability was top notch. Johnson was also unlucky to scoop that little sitter early on, but overall I agree with this one as he did fail to make much of an impact.

I think that's a bit unfair on AJ, he had a good game but he tends to get a bad wrap if he dosnt score

He constantly gave the ball away, found himself in the wrong positions, lack of movement, dwelling on the ball too long, giving the ball away, and he gave the ball away a couple of times too.

Add to that the misses, bad decision making, and giving the ball away, it was a very bad performance.

Also, his ball retention isn't very good and he gives the ball away quite often too.

He didn't give the ball away anymore than Yaya or Silva, his movement was good hence 2x goal scoring opportunities - you're exaggerating and it's a bit sad that you need a scapegoat even though we won

Superb. Superb. Superb.

Great to see King Carlos back on the field. Some of his passes were excellent, and as he gets sharper you just know he's going to get back to goal scoring ways.

El Kun. Clinical.

David Silva. Just pure magic.

Richards. Colossal.

In fact everyone, to a man, was just excellent. On another day that would've been a cricket score in the first half alone.

Just want to say to our bitter gooner friends. You were right. Clichy can't defend. And Nasri doesn't get many assists. :- )

Oh, and of course. Props to Roberto. Team selection was spot on with Wednesday in mind. Last season he bore the brunt of the criticism when we didn't perform. So he deserves huge amounts of praise and respect of the way we're currently playing. It's just magical.

I'm off out to get well and truly smashed.

poetry my blue brother

No, he gave the ball away a hell of a lot. Bad passes, dwelling on the ball and getting tackled... Now imagine him doing that against a team that can punish us.

When AJ comes anywhere close to adding as much to the team in 90 minutes as Silva or Yaya do in any 2 minutes of a game, maybe I'll give him a break every so often.

nah come off it he was no were near as bad as you try and explain.

he didn't have his best game but it was nowhere near his worst game i thought he had a decent game playing with Richards down the right.

A.Johnson was really disappointing today. Twice he has had a start in HOME matches against Swansea and Wigan. Both not famed for their fullbacks and he has offered nothing. Really disappointing.

Maybe a loan move would have been good for him?

Apart from that the team was awesome. Moved up a level when Nasri came on.

Really disappointing? Really? You supported City long like?

Well I beg you a fucking Tyrannosaurus Rex pardon, your fucking Excellency. I for one agree, Johnson is fucking shite.

Another city fan with about 20 posts calling city players shite, plastic?

You're right, it was no where near his worst and he did do a couple of good things. However, compared to the rest of the players...

Gone are the days when I used to bite my nails whilst waiting anxiously for the final whistle. Now I don't want the game to end; we're just THAT beautiful to watch.
