CL Ticket availability

Last night there was a bloke next to me who had been forced to move down from two rows back because City had made those seats corporate (block 105). He couldn't get a seat next to the fella he normally sits with - and has done for 17 years - he was off somewhere else. City didn't tell him this was going to happen until after he'd signed up for the cup schemes, so he signed up in the faith he'd be sat in his seat that he's sat in for ten years and that he'd be enjoying the match with his pal, yet they change it on him.

He said he's never going to sign up for any cup schemes again and will just attend league games.

The amount of tourists in that ground last night was almost, but not quite, as bad as Real Madrid at home last season. They were everywhere.

I know seven regular attenders that didn't go last night because of the price.

Well this is a good step in the right direction at least.

The sad part is it shows just how easily the loyal supporters are being replaced when we choose not to attend.

The more that refuse to pay then hopefully the club will take note and start to reduce the pricing?
or we will eventually move out and the stadium will be full of tourist daytripping cunts and that's it - The City we know is no more.

my Seasoncard is paid for, and I will be attending those matches.

Cup games - no more.
Away matches - the ticket and travel pricing is a ripoff and I refuse to pay.

Saw plenty of regulars around where I was sat. Since I bought the bundle by default (cup scheme), I am not unhappy at the prices (£33 per game), but for those who can't commit to the bundle last night's game was very expensive. But in the end, via whatever means (selling cheap to students, etc.), the game did appear to sell out and I saw less empty seats than I do at sold out league games which is very surprising considering the usual amount of no-shows at mid-week games.

Had a right no next to me, who spent all game takings videos and pictures with his mates, constantly banging into me, i asked him politely but did it stop him, did it fuck. Got a load of abuse off 5 lads who had clearly never been to a footy match in there life, not there fault I know but have some fucking respect rather than moaning how shit we we were and saying how they should have gone to watch the scum in a pub, all fucking game. just FUCK OFF!

not that the club will give a shit, and the fact that after about 5 mins last night I remembered why I hate european football, constant diving, shit officials, I cancelled cup scheme this morning, had enough of it now

Between me and my 2 grown up lads we have two season tickets, I have one they share the other. Neither lad couldn't afford last night so I bought them tickets. 2 x £48, so you can imagine I was well chuffed when I met a boke on the tram.
He works at the airport and states Virgin were given 750 to flog at £25. His son (who was with him) works for GMP and they were given a large number for the same price so he bought 3.
City, you priced it wrong, you advertised it badly and you were going to get shown up on tele so you flogged them off cheap- Thanks.

just had a text off the bloke I know that gets cheap tickets via a college, the next 2 home games v CSKA Moscow and Plzen are available from next Wednesday for £20 each ! 5.50 quid cheaper than us mugs paid via the bundle.

For the many reasons in this thread I'm fucking off CL games next season. Being in 117 I've another 2 issues. A fucking net between me and the pitch and advertising boards that from row L mean I can't see the bleeding goal line.

If I decide to go I'll pick up a ticket easy enough same with any away if I can afford or fancy it.

The only game I'd probably luck out on would be a final but I'm pretty sure it'd be much to expensive even If we got there.

It's weird isn't it. We go all season in the hope we get in top 4. When we get there many regular ST are either priced out or for whatever reason choose not to go. I am not excited in the slightest about playing moscow and the Plzen. I enjoyed watching the Bayern game just for the reason that they were so good and it was actually good to watch them. But from a support point of view it was obviously shite as were the other games last season. Dortmund gave us a lesson and Madrid were the better side. Only against Ajax did we look ok and they are nowhere near the top level.

Maybe a last 16 or 8 game may get more interest so lets hope this season we get to see one. I would prefer CL to be a knockout from round one. Never going to happen due to finance and protecting the cartel but would be more exciting.

Completely Agree. It just has everything going against it for us to get sell outs!

Midweek
Televised
Stupidly Overpriced
No Alcohol

In short, how the f#@* can we hope to fill a stadium to watch Czech opponents most of us had never heard of before this season.

Unless we progress or draw Barca or Galatasaray (Mancini factor) I don't see us selling out a group game again.

I'd rather finish 3rd than 2nd in the group. If we qualify we will only get embarrassed by another top team. I'd much rather we had a go at the Europa league - come up against some unknown teams that we can hopefully outplay, drop the prices for the home games and not having any tourist twats getting in the way, and have a laugh while we are there. Remember Alan, Alan? no chance of that happening in a champions league game, the atmosphere in the ground is always really cold and hostile for some reason. fuck it off city
