Classic Rock (Phil Collins lives, run for the hills)

Going seeing a Rush tribute in a few weeks with my dad.

Never really done much of their stuff beyond 2112 and Farewell to Kings so just the 19 albums to catch up on.
Ha, think you’ll be ok mate.
I’ve seen loads of Rush tribute bands including at their European conventions, and the one thing they all have in common - much to my continued disappointment- is a wish to play pre 1982 Rush songs.

So you only need to catch up on 3 more really - Hemispheres, P Waves and Moving Pictures should do the trick ;-)

Yes, I now recall seeing his social media post announcement about that, but reading it I had no idea things were so serious.
Really sad news that.
I only ever saw them once, at the Apollo with Kingdom Come as support iirc, but always enjoyed their music.
RIP
I had a ticket and the new album is due out this Friday, their recent albums have been excellent, will be sadly missed.

I last saw them in 2004 at the Apollo. It was an excellent, if short set. Not much of the 80's 'big hair' songs, and those they did play were stripped back and less keyboards.

Have read people unhappy with recent US dates because including a good few covers in the set. UK tour has Squeeze supporting, in the US it's Cheap Trick. I would likely have overcome my hatred of the Arena and gone for that.
