A big lad, maybe 6 foot 4I was at Heaton Park in the 80s when he did the Radio 1 roadshow. I was about 10 feet away from him as he boarded a helicopter out of there.

Got my tickets today. Seen Journey loads of times, but it was the thought of seeing Cheap Trick that tempted me in.A must for me.
Saw Journey in Vegas in summer 2022 (only third time) and it was good. Would have preferred less ballads but still good.
Had tickets for Cheap Trick that got moved due to covid and eventually cancelled so this is a double bill I want to see.
There was some talk of getting Steve Perry to appear on the 50th Tour but doesn’t look like that is happening.

What a set list it would’ve been back then :-)I met Fish when Marillion were playing Cardiff Students Union in 1984 I think, tickets would have been less than a fiver!
Saw them a couple of times just as they were about to get big. What a set list it would’ve been back then :-)
Feel exactly the same about Journey, wish they'd stuck with Jeff Scott Soto, but too much personality for them these days, or Neil Schon anyway. Hoping Cheap Trick do a few headline dates while they are over.
My other issue ,last time I saw them with Pineda, they were playing bigger venues than with Augeri or Soto and a big chunk of the audience were there for the other bands or just the one song and didn't know the rest of the set. Think this will be similar.Saw them twice with Soto at the Apollo (when booked it was Augeri singing, as good as Perry on the Arrival album, and on seeing him with them in the US) and as much as I like his other stuff, epecially with W.E.T., I didn't think his voice suited too well, but at least not a karaoke copy of Perry like Pineda is.
And got lucky to now be 'in' at Manchester gig to see Cheap Trick, Yay!
Same here pal. Gave it one go on that first tour without him, Seasons End iirc, but it just wasn’t the same :-(Saw them a couple of times just as they were about to get big.
Think they had only released Script back then. Lost them completely when Fish left.
Not a fan of the Hogarth albums except Seasons end, but I’ve seen them live with him a couple of times and thought live he and they were excellent.Same here pal. Gave it one go on that first tour without him, Seasons End iirc, but it just wasn’t the same :-(
