I used to go in Wthenshaw park to watch the players training on Monday mornings, I remember one pre season session most of the players were moaning about how tough it was, it was effin this effin that from Lee Summerbee and Coleman. The worst Colin came out with was flipping eck, I don't think I ever overheard the King swear once in all the times I watched them.

I wasn't even in my teens when he made his comeback v Newcastle on Boxing Day but my abiding memory of Maine Road games around that time was the noise from the Kippax when he came on that day. Legend.

Lucky enough to have seen him play, albeit post his injury. Also played against him at tennis. A true gent. RIP.
