Last year was Sunday, I've seen some listings say Saturday this time, is that 100% confirmed?
It would start the season off on a brilliant note....save a fortune whilst boiling piss. Why should we refuse to play it?
We are still Champions of England (& the World if I remember correctly) so let’s show off. Show ‘em all.
Boycotting or refusing would just start the season off on a bad note and set the media dogs on us again. (Not that they ever stop but let’s not feed them).
JMHO
That made me smile. I can see your point as well. :-)It would start the season off on a brilliant note....save a fortune whilst boiling piss.
What's not to like !!

Oh dear....you're trying too hard !!Save a fortune for who?
My only thought was how old are you?Any thoughts on City withdrawing from the CS.
The game should be held at the home of the Champions as winners of English footballs elite tournament.
It's only at Wembley to pay off the incompetent FAs debts for a wrongly located ground.
What have the FA ever done for City or us fans.
We'd be better holding internal game twixt the academy teams followed by one twixt the first team squad.
Free to all season ticket holders etc then £10 adults/£5 u 18s open sale.
Make it an annual pre season 'open day festival'.
Thoughts ??
I wouldn't bank on it. It's normally on Sky and they love their Super Sundays.FA website says Saturday, so seems certain.
