If they really think we would just loan Tevez to them I think they must be naive.

We wont...it's a 40m deal. They know we wouldn't accept anything less let alone a loan!

Duncan from the Times tweeted quotes from the director of Corinthians saying it is a loan offer because they won't pay that much to buy.

Corinthians pretty clear on Tevez: 'It would be a loan. We're not going to buy, these prices are absurd.'

Sky is saying they made a 40m bid:

Good business by sky this, £40 mil to replace ratboy, with a more erudite presenter with a more handsome appearance and a better grasp of the queens English.

That quote sounds much more believable than the notion that Corinthians have offered 37m. And obviously anything is more believable than the stuff Joorabchian comes out with. When he says they are close to an agreement, I reckon that "agreement" will have nothing to do with City, it will all be between Joorabchian, Corinthians and Tevez.

SSN, Has on it`s website that Corinthians have bid £35m for Carlos Tevez.Probabley bollocks though.

Not 'bollocks' - they have the money because of a TV deal, and its 40m not 35m. Clubs are talking now.......................

I'd sniff around Real first if the rumors of £25m cash+ Higuain or Benzema have any merit. Otherwise, I'd settle for anything over £40 as long as THEY are paying his wages and we manage to include a sell-on fee clause...wouldn't put it past him tbh.

"Welcome to Manchester"

nah - IF a club is offering 35-40m for Tevez upfront, then they should snap their hands off. We're very lucky if this happens!
Then you go and buy who you want with the cash.......................
