Love the cold me
I bloody don't. Fell on my way to work this morning (just a few bruises) and then again on the way home (smacked my head on the pavement). Felt dizzy like I never have before but it's lessening now.
Oldham council.....sort the bloody pavements out when there is snow and ice!!!!! :-(

Our local is now 25% Covid positive. Adding another 32 critical beds and is being geared up as a surge hospital for the region. Deaths doubled in last week and around 150 new patients hospitalised.

As one senior nurse there put it today “this is it”. Mrs MB in tears...again...but tomorrow she will go back for some more.

A situation I imagine replicated up and down this country. Good luck to you all

ENGLAND HOSPITAL DATA

Not good news again.

Patients up from 26, 467 to 27, 727 - 1260 increase in 24 hours. Up 5014 in past 7 days. Almost 25% up in a week.

Ventilators up from 2378 to 2530 - 152 increase in 24 hours. Up 676 in past 7 days. A rise of 33% in a week.

These are really concerning escalations as they are far up on anything we have seen.

The ventilator bed numbers are especially worrying as these are the patients most likely to die.

We are rapidly closing in on the numbers on them in the first wave after already overtaking by far the numbers in hospital in April.

Oh no. And this cold snap is going nowhere.

Not going to talk about the recent past.

But I can't really swallow what we've done to the NHS workers here.
