The vaccines did their job, the reason hospitalisations dropped significantly. I knew when I got my 2nd in July that it’s effectiveness would start to drop after 11 weeks and keep on diminishing to a point where I needed the booster after 6 months. Just like any vaccine, albeit different timescales for different diseases.

Omnicron has speeded up the need for boosters earlier than 6 months. This is going to be the way it is for a few years and then, with children getting the disease a couple of times and building up their natural immunity we may get to a point that it’s like taking the flu jab every year for a season.

Queue up for your next one at the end of Jan then because that's the decay rate where the last one became ineffective, based on this sales pitch.

Was just about to post this latest Doomsday article from the ridiculous Guardian. It's become a left-wing Daily Mail!!

Apparently we could see 2 million cases a day and 6000 deaths daily.

Bleating about their freedoms being taken away from them. What exactly have you lost over the last year or so? A holiday maybe? A few trips to the pub? Being told you must wear a mask on certain occasions? Wipe your fannies you selfish, selfish idiots.

Then there's the ones who won't have the vaccine cos "it's experimental". Their view is that enough people will do so before them and that they'll wait until they see how it works out. Good job the vast majority don't think that way isn't it? Again... utterly selfish.

They make me want to puke. Honestly, I couldn't give a fuck if they all did the decent thing and caught Covid and fucking died.

I think it’s fair for people to feel frustrated who have been triple jabbed to feel like their lives aren’t returning to normal.

but it’s annoying that the vaccines need to be supported by social restrictions as well again as that was not what was expected or promised.

you glibly say things like people have lost holidays and going to the pub with mates. I like holidays ,seeing mates, going the game and seeing gigs and enjoying life to the max . Interacting with humans is brilliant .

I appreciate some people are happy to stay in their bedroom and be on social media all day and cracking one off over youporn . Everyone’s life is different I suppose.

I don’t blame people being pissed off that they are fearing more restrictions on their life they have complied we have been triple jabbed . We wear our masks but….

I struggle to see how we’d outdo the 1,500 a day deaths we saw last winter with basically zero jabs and people meeting indoors all over.

The numbers being quoted are ridiculous and nothing but scare tactics to ensure a media driven lockdown happens.

Politicians are frozen with fear these days with regards the backlash from the press and social media and as night follows day, they will again do what they are being told to do.

Meanwhile, the Omicron figures from around the globe are all pointing in the same direction and that is it’s a relatively mild illness and nowhere near what Delta was, thankfully.

You must pay a lot more attention to what's said then; neither Mrs Unicorn nor I remember anyone saying the vaccine effectiveness would start to drop 11 weeks after our second jab in July !

You might be able to tell from my posts I’m a bit boring;) Read an interview with someone from one of the SPI groups that advise Sage.
