UEFA has suspended all Champions League and Europa League matches "until further notice" due to the coronavirus, European football's governing body has said.

All national team games scheduled for June have also been postponed, including play-off matches for Euro 2020, which has been moved to 2021
 
Presumably, any loss of TV money will more severely impact clubs which are in debt and may struggle to meet the terms of their loans. I wonder how many of the top clubs in Europe have no debt? If only a set of capitalisation rules was in place before the pandemic. They could have called it Financial Fair Play or something like that.

The LTA have said this about Tennis "The All England Club would not want to be seen to be pushing ahead with a sporting event as the death toll continues to rise and the country remains in the grip of the pandemic."

But the FA and PL want to press on to protect the "integrity" of the game. It seems like some leaders know what leadership means.

As someone who works in sports turf industry it doesn't surprise me at all that LTA made the correct call. I once spent a day there when they were building the roof on centre court, the attention to detail was amazing. Than when Wembley was rebuilt the FA employed a head groundsman from notts forest with no experience of desso pitches , plus the grounds team had to borrow equipment and growth lights from spurs and arsenal , no wonder the pitch was poor in its first few years. Is it any wonder the FA cant get things right they aren't fit to run football. Now Wimbledon is so well run. To be honest most sports and other events are now embarrassing the way football is run.
 
Yes. I think hell has frozen over I’m sick of the platitudes from the government I’m terrified of going for hospital tests tomorrow and can’t change the appointment for after the epidemic



Update!!
It was empty, the hospital was quiet and no one else was there much to my suprize in and out and back home in double time :)
