I watched the Wolves game last night and saw the injury to Rui Patricio.

As soon as the ball was played through to Salah, it was clear it was an offside as when the goal was scored, the linesman immediately put his flag up. He didn't pause, consult the ref or anything - straight up.

If the game had stopped when the linesman had raised his flag the would have blown his whistle and the game stopped. As a result, Rui Patricio wouldn't be waking up this morning in hospital with a horrendous head injury.

This has happened directly because of VAR messing with the game.

Sadly this is what fans have been saying all season and now a serious injury has resulted from their stupidity. It is a farce what is happening to our game and more to the point the fact that it is being allowed to. happen to our game.

well, then linesmen have impunity to disallow legitimate goals like West Brom away if we can't play on. I like the rule, one unfortunate head injury doesn't change that.
 
there’s an article in The Sun this morning reporting that unqualified office guys are overruling referees on VAR decisions.

Why would they run such an article now and not say last season when a team in red were pissing the league?

That’s a good question. The article is quite interesting in that they are talking about the Foden incident and saying that the so called VAR Commander overruled the actual VAR who thought it was a penalty and was about to tell the match referee to consult the monitor. They don’t say why this happened but there are lots of lines to read in between.
