A Manchester City youth player was today jailed for 16 months at Manchester Crown Court for causing the death of a brother and sister by careless driving.
Courtney Meppen-Walter, 18, admitted the crime earlier this month after he was arrested when his Mercedes was involved in a crash with a Nissan Micra in Manchester in September.
The Nissan driver, Kulwant Singh, 32, from Salford, and his sister, front seat passenger Ravel Kaur, 37, from Cheetham Hill, died.
Ms Kaur's two sons, aged 16 and 17, were sitting in the back of the car and were injured in the crash on the evening of September 1 on Great Ducie Street.
Meppen-Walter has been on the books at City since 2010 and failed to make a senior appearance for the club, but was on the bench for Roberto Mancini's side as they drew 2-2 in a Champions League match against Ajax in November.
Anyone know what jail he has been sent? No sympathy for idiots like this and imo he should of got longer
