Whilst impressive, I suspect the behind closed doors crimes will have increased. Domestic abuse, sexual abuse but they're the ones that don't come out until months/years down the line.

Fair play to most for respecting the emergency services though.
For sure, what you term “behind closed doors crimes” will have increased hugely. I’m guessing a good number find their way into the figures whilst many won’t surface for some time.

That said, those crime stats are very encouraging if replicated around the country and in subsequent weeks.

No one on the streets to mug. No unoccupied houses (except the homes of those who've gone away for the weekend - just a hint, lads). No drunks outside pubs. Battered spouses can't phone for help. No shoplifting as no crowded shops.
Yes. Easy enough to explain but welcome nonetheless.

I'm in Cornwall, its getting busier, police are trying to stop people coming down but they cant stop them all.
Big accident on the m5 yesterday with an overturned caravan, 2 mile tailbacks, most of which were holiday makers.

Fuck off cunts!
Only two ways in unless they can fly in,shut the bridges and the tavistock (?) Crossing, job done

Shame a lot of these police dont put as much effort into this as they do with burglaries, attacks and other stuff. They dont want to know about them.
But easy targets like this they love. Never seem so many about with their note books.
Pathetic.

I think they should all be, anything from: fined, banned from driving, banned from holidaying, made to work on the front line in hospitals changing bedsheets, deported to some random island nobody else lives on, charged with terrorist offences, shot in the head...

Take your pick.

1 volunteer for your last bit..

A30, a38, a39 and various back roads.
I still cant believe people think it's ok to do what they please.
