The world has lost its collective fucking mind over a strain of the flu that has been shown to be nowhere near others in terms of its mortality rates yet here we are effectively locking the globe and life down over it?

Fucking ridiculous.

Extrapolate the mortality rate and do the maths, on top of that it’s far more contagious than ‘flu’ and I count myself as an optimist.

Morissons are fecking hopeless, and are ALWAYS running out of;

1: Whole milk. Of any description. Including Jersey.

2: Any decent bread. The Bakery section is frequently completely empty by 3.

3: Loose Apples.

Personally I am working on the theory that they have a particularly stingy buying policy.

With my asthma if I get flu I could get pneumonia but more likely will just have more attacks

If I get this I do get pneumonia and have 30% chance of surviving

I think this is more or a worry than any cold or flu for me and many others

Same here dlbh, I had 2 trips to Milan and Bergamo planned and paid for, now I get my money back. Was going to see friends in Bergamo plus watch Atalanta again each time, disappointed yes, but feel for the people and friends caught up in this over there.

Trivial I know, but does this mean the Atalanta team will be prevented from leaving the region? Is their game at Valencia in doubt?

Big time.

The models developed and shown in the BBC program "Contagion" showed the total number being infected (in the UK) dropping from 42m to 30m, simply by everyone washing their hands properly and regularly. At 3% mortality, that's 360,000 lives saved!

And yet people who go out and buy soap/sanitiser and stay in are labelled as ‘selfish’ and paranoid.

The ones doing nothing and carrying on as normal are the selfish ones.
We have a mixed up world where the prudent are castigated over the unwise.
