So today's UK hospital deaths are 10 - same as last Monday. Which is certainly good news despite the caveats.

It became 11 on all settings later.

Currently that is now 13 on that measure.

But on the all settings added to the actual date the total currently is 41. Big increase. Which may help illustrate the risks of taking the weekend data as too 'finalised'.

Ages of infections in Scotland from today

60 people aged 65+ (only 3 people 85+)
39 kids aged under 15 (12 aged under 5)
199 aged 15-24
399 aged 25-64

Cases today from the three nations without England total 1909. Last week it was 728.

To know last Monday's true numbers for England asked Nostradamus or the PHE tech experts.

Under 9% over 65s. That is as it used to be. More good news.

But there is a tendancy for Monday to do this and Tuesday kick you in the teeth as it catches up weekend data.

just got a notification off the covid app saying something about possible exposure and they are evaluating the risk. and when i clicked on it i was directed to the app where it has now disappeared.so what am i supposed to do now

I got one a week ago. Did the same as you and nothing came up on the app. I have since heard of other people receiving the same message, with the same result when they get to the app.

Use common sense and go to the cinema.

Honestly. They're behind shields but I can think of at least one who wasn't wearing it. I literally go because it's cheap and they show the football.
So cheap booze, football and the risk of catching COVID is high versus a pub that cares about it customers and has put measures in place to minimise the risk and shows the football. I know where my money would be going

Like others, I don't understand the changes from one day to the next. You'd expect a business to understand the rules and advise customers accordingly. I know the gaffer looked startled when the two men walked in. They stuck out in seconds so it was obvious they were undercover.

In Liverpool, they had a lad on the door of one fun pub in the city centre and I was escorted to a table. I had to download the app and could not order at the bar. They were quick. I ordered a second pint of my pizza, went to the toilet and it was there waiting for me when I got back.

Looks like Wales are considering insisting on quarantine/isolation to people coming into there from parts of the UK most impacted like the NW. They are to discuss it with their scientific advisers today.
It’s what the Germans are doing for the U.K. and seems to be reasonably sensible, rather than just cutting off travel from the U.K.
I‘d suggest we should just adopt whatever policy the Germans adopt, the day after they adopt it...

You’d expect the PM and his ministers to understand the rules to be fair and if they don’t, what price the rest of us?

I understand the changes can be confusing but we all have access to Google if unsure. Not understanding, if you are a business, is unforgivable though especially when huge fines exist. If it was my business I would be double, triple checking it to make sure.
