Got to be looking at 400 from here and hopefully get some NRR back!
Malan and Root are the glue that holds together the rest of our line up that are basically ”sloggers”.Excellent knock from Malan, completely justifying his selection in the side - which he has to do almost every time he plays. I personally was questioning his selection, happy to admit I clearly don't know what I'm talking about! He's a lovely player to watch when on form, rotating the strike and putting the bad balls away. A wonderful century for him and a brilliant platform for our big hitters.
LL more myth than legend. Buttler should have been a bit more restrained, otherwise this is what happens. The best batters don’t try and hit EVERY ball for 6Malan and Root are the glue that holds together the rest of our line up that are basically ”sloggers”.
Bairstow and Livingstone should be closer to being dropped. Livingstone only stays in the side because of his bowling option.

Same with Lancs. The odd wonderful innings hidden amongst too many failures. Hopefully a cameo incoming from BrookMust have had about 2 decent innings in the last 2 years.

What's is good losing wickets when you already have a decent score is the batters all get a hit in India conditions! It's what you need if you going to win the World Cup
We don’t have the bowlers. It will be an incredibly pleasant and unexpected surprise if we retain the World Cup, we are too one dime and seemingly unable to adopt our gameplay to the situation. Morgan seems to think it’s fine, Atherton seems to think it’s due to Bangladesh, neither of them question Englands mentality
The best teams dont throw away wickets like this. The potentially lost net run rate could really hurt us as it’s going to be very tight for at least 2 of the semi final spots
The other aspect that needs factoring is that the grounds are much bigger here, meaning six hitting is harder and you’re more likely to get caught on the boundary.
The Old Trafford effect.
Let’s hope we play the better sides on them.I thought that at Ahmedabad vs NZ - that pitch looked huge!
One or two aren't that big, particularly straight boundaries.
I think 6th, behind the 4 you mention plus PakistanWe don’t have the bowlers.
India, Australia and New Zealand have better attacks than us.
I reckon we’re 4th favourites, possible joint with South Africa.
