Would it have been "a travesty" if England won that 3-1.

2-2 is no doubt a fair result, but suggesting it would have been a travesty is a bit extreme. Poor comment form Nasser.

3-1 would have been a misleading scoreline given how dominant India were in the first couple of games. Interestingly, they performed better when Bumrah wasn’t playing and Siraj was the leader of the attack.

We will need to improve a lot if we’re to stand any chance in the Ashes. I suspect it will be another 4 or 5-0 drubbing.

The prime reason we lost this was the folly/arrogance of picking Bethell who has played virtually no first class cricket and when he did play he averaged 11 !!! Surely someone needs to ask Keys/McC/Stokes the question!!

Absolutely right. That and Smith unfathomably playing like he’s never held a bat before…
One other thing, which I suspect is not going to be universally popular, but, once they’d seen that pitch, Anderson should have been flown down straight away.

Both Woakes injury and the dropped catches cost England dearly. Catches win matches as the saying goes.

Totally agree. Root was a tired waft and Brook bottomed it. Funny they were talking about his bat before it happened aswell. Exciting end to the test.
