I just don’t understand how it has actually come to this. Throughout the Pep project we have had a certain profile of player that fit into the ethos of what we were trying to do. Now we are seemingly willing to put all of that in the bin for him of all people. Stinks of desperation, failure in this window and possibly the beginning of the end of what this last 5 years has been about? Just can’t buy into *him* playing for City. No matter how many goals he scores it won’t feel right.

He's a world class player that could give us two great years. Players like him are the difference between winning and losing in tight games. After he's banged his first few goals in nobody will give a fuck about his rags history or his age. Also after two years Delap and a few other youngsters have hopefully matured.

Yeah I think you might be mixed up a bit here kidda. Just so there's no confusion, if it was up to me we wouldn't sign him because I don't want him at the club. As it is I'm just a fan who has no say in what happens so my opinion is just that, an opinion. I've no arguments with those who want him, I can see the merits in why they would.
If we do sign him then I'll carry on supporting City just like I have for the last 40 years. I'll cheer any goal he scores because it means City have scored.
I want us to win every game, I'd rather we did it without him.
