CSKA Moscow v City - Pre match discussion

No way we're resting players for this. Reckon our owners would rather lose 10-0 to Chelsea than lose this game. CL the priority this season, to me thats clear.

I think in an ideal world, he would have rested players vs West Ham, then played our first team v CSKA and Chelsea, then played the second string against Newcastle. But given the monkey on our back about our away form He couldn't.

Expecting us to play our best available 11 against CSKA and chelsea. Then everyone gets a kip V newcastle.

No chance of resting players for this one. This is the most important match of the group stage. We have time to recover for the Chelsea game. Just hope for no injuries on this shit pitch!

Pellegrini basically said if it rains, it must be called off.

But no rain forecasted?

Can't be any worse than the asia trophy games.

They shouldn't have been played either. Wasn't it one of those pitches that claimed Nastasic for the beginning of the season?

Pellegrini should be kicking up a fuss if he thinks it will seriously disadvantage us, especially if he feels the players already have an excuse to not perform. Home advantage is one thing, but making us play football on a beach taking the piss a bit for a Champions League game.

It really is impossible not to like James Milner. He should form part of a training video along with Zabaleta for new players.
