The British press love Mourinho and he loves them. Wouldn't you say that's a fair assessment? Chelsea of course had some appalling press during his tenure, but much of that was down to Roman IMO.

He's got some fans in the press, but also a lot of enemies. If we think Mourinho coming in would stop bad press we'd be in for a disappointment.
It'd just fuel the hatred more.

I reckon Mancini will still be here come next season. If we dont win anything next season though then Im sure he will be gone..

Lets hear peoples guesses.. and bookmark this thread!

He,ll leave when he wants.

I don't think the bad press would stop, but I certainly don't think it'd be as it is now. That's no reflection upon Roberto btw ... just as you say, Mourinho does have fans and friends in the press, and powerful ones at that. Not sure Mancini has cultivated relationships in that way - although I could be wrong.

-- Mon Apr 02, 2012 11:35 am --

Yaya, Silva, , Kolarov, Boateng, Balotelli, Clichy, Savic, Nasri.

I hate to break it to you, but Marwood/Hughes tried to sign Yaya and Silva the summer before Mancini joined the club. So they are as much "board" signings as anyone else at the club. Same with Nasri/Clichy. Both ex Arsenal players brought in via the relationship between Marwood and Darren Dein.

Again, that's no slight on Mancini. Just correcting your assertion that the board had nothing to do with those players coming in.

You obviously know nothing about our owners. Players are not, and never have been, imposed upon Mancini. If they suggest one and he doesn't want them, he simply says no and they move on.

Mancini tried to sign Silva when he was at Inter and has spoken of having watched Nasri since he was much younger. I don't know about Yaya though.

I know that mate. I'm pointing out to the lad who seems to think that Mancini has had players imposed upon him, whilst at the same time being solely responsible for other signings, that the club as a whole have worked together to sign players. The fundamental thing is that at no point have we had a Shevchenko/Torres situation where a player is bought against the manager's wishes - which is what he was implying happened with Dzeko.

i know it doesnt fit in with the topic of this thread, but i dont think it really needs a new one.
NDJ has just tweeted that he's on the way to amsterdam ?!?!
surely they've not been given another couple of days off again this week after the shambles that was saturday
