with the youngsters they have they could just not spend for two years and consolidate but too busy trying to compete with Madrid

Cash payments are irrelevant for PSR so makes no difference when the payment is made. PSR is the value of the registration spread across the length of the contract.

I do wonder if City are being cute here with these so called 'in the know journalists'. Technically, we are not in negotiations - because it's already agreed.
It does feel like a classic Txiki type deal. I could be wrong (don't tell Mrs Left Peg I said that) - time will tell.
