Dani Olmo

Simply baffling why we havn't snapped him up already. Surely he would be part of our succession planning. If KDB goes now or next summer he would help fill the attacking creativity gap. Plus, would allow us to save & spend big once the top young midfielders do become available/feasible, which simply doesn't look it will occur this summer.

Hotly courted in this summer transfer window, Dani Olmo has been the subject of an offer from Manchester City. For its part, Barça still considers the Spaniard as a priority. A meeting between the Blaugrana management and the agent of the RB Leipzig player is also scheduled for this weekend.​

It's a real tug-of-war between two European giants for Dani Olmo! Since arriving in Germany from Dinamo Zagreb in 2020, the Spaniard has had the gift of performing well with RB Leipzig, even if he has encountered a few physical problems along the way. Versatile and capable of playing both as a playmaker and on the front of the attack, the 26-year-old attacker was already on Manchester City 's radar last summer.
Ultimately, the Terrassa native remained in Saxony while renewing his loyalty to RB Leipzig, extending his contract until June 2027. Coming off an interesting 2023-2024 season with the winner of the 2023 German Cup (8 goals, 5 assists in 25 games in all competitions), Dani Olmo logically earned his place in Luis de la Fuente's squad to play Euro 2024 with Spain. Integrated into the rotation of the Spanish coach, the Iberian took advantage of Pedri's misfortunes to force his way into the starting eleven.

Foot Mercato is very unreliable tbf. Not saying we aren't in for Olmo, but I think it'd take Alvarez joining Atletico to happen.
