Mr Pellegrini should send on the BEAST then. "Leave our David alone!!" I got laughed at on Saturday when I shouted that at one of the Southampton players!! It was rather quiet around me at the time though so everyone heard!

you should have sung it to the tune of 'another brick in the wall'

'Leave our Dave alone' - catchy ;)

Yes, great idea, I'll do that next time. :-) Especially if it is Gerrard, I am beginning to really dislike that guy!!

~Hey Gerrard, leave our Dave alone~ sounds good.

Meh, they start twatting him, we should start getting Zaba to flatten Suarez' ankles every time he's at least 30 yards outside the area.

They've gotta get near Spanish Dave first before they try and clatter him
Yeah easier said than done all right, Question. If we get the 3 points on Sunday, do we give his ankles the Sunderland game off?

Well after watching them last night we could probably stick him in net and he will do less movement than he would if he was sat in the stands :)

Well that's the problem, if we start winning in that game the Dippers are going to realize their best chance at the title is then to crock our best players, so I think we go a goal up and then run away quite frankly.

It's an interesting dilemma though, for me there's no question he's been our most important player along with Yaya and we know Yaya is starting to look fatigued and Dave's playing through the pain barrier.
We have far harder matches left imo than Sunderland so if we win and get the 3 points do we risk a 50% Yaya and an injured Silva for the likes of Everton (a) and Crystal Palace (a) and maybe bring in Jovetic and Garcia for the Sunderland match (both of whom have done well as subs in recent weeks and both pushing for a start anyway imo).
I'd take the gamble, although it's a bit harder I'd say for MP as he's the one who'll get slated if it were to backfire.
All hypothetical anyway, just something I've been turning over in my head since hearing about the ankle knock.

It wouldn't surprise me if he has been carrying this ankle knock for a couple of months, just look at the amount of games we have played this season.

Providing we do win on Sunday, if you could then guarantee me that we would beat Sunderland 3-0 without Dave then yes I would definitely rest him, I guess the problem is that he makes us play, and when he isn't in the side we do seem to stutter through games.

I think resting Yaya wouldn't make much of a difference, can ask Garcia to sit in and let Ferna rampage. I'm just not sure we can afford to rest both tho.

I'm more than up for Dave starting and seeing us a few goals up by HT then bring him off but can you imagine the uproar if he rested him and we didn't win!! Now that would be 'typical City' haha

might be worth us bringing on ,say Micah Richards, after 85 minutes and have him do Suarez and take a red card for the team?

I read the first part of that line and thought WTF then pissed myself laughing when i finished the sentence!!! What a game plan!!

Re: David Silva...

Micah would miss him with a waist high challenge and fall awkwardly dislocating his shoulder as Suarez races thru to equalize !

Re: David Silva...

I've been watching the blues since the early 80s and have loved a range of players from David White ,Paul Lake,David Phillips,Uwe Rosler to kinky and Ali B but David Silva is the best player I've ever seen to have the massive honour to pull on that blue jersey.. Pure Class nuff said......

If you study him close at the match when he is in possession he doesn't do anything really fancy, he has a low centre of gravity like Maradona or Messi which makes it look like the ball sticks to his feet, and it is really hard to knock him off the ball. He shields the ball and turns 180 or 360 and beats most players with ease although I said its not fancy like say Ronaldo stepovers its just as good and its like watching an artist painting a canvas(corny as fook I know!"..Without the ball is almost as good as soon as he passes he finds new space which sounds simple but he finds the right space!! And just before he receives the ball he has a quick look over his shoulder which helps him get a mental picture of what he wants to do, hence the shite cliché of him having wingmirrors, some of the displays he's put in for us this season have been SUBLIME..

He also comes across as a genuinely nice lad off the pitch too.

And he hates Scousers too!!!

Change it to as soon as we take the lead and I'm up for it, better to use Rodwell though, we might need Micah yet.
