David Silva (continued)

Micah would miss him with a waist high challenge and fall awkwardly dislocating his shoulder as Suarez races thru to equalize !

Sense of humour ? or opportunity to take the p--s. ?
I'd say the latter.

If he came on and did well, would you secretly be disappointed ?

Yeah easier said than done all right, Question. If we get the 3 points on Sunday, do we give his ankles the Sunderland game off?

Well after watching them last night we could probably stick him in net and he will do less movement than he would if he was sat in the stands :)
It's an interesting dilemma though, for me there's no question he's been our most important player along with Yaya and we know Yaya is starting to look fatigued and Dave's playing through the pain barrier.
We have far harder matches left imo than Sunderland so if we win and get the 3 points do we risk a 50% Yaya and an injured Silva for the likes of Everton (a) and Crystal Palace (a) and maybe bring in Jovetic and Garcia for the Sunderland match (both of whom have done well as subs in recent weeks and both pushing for a start anyway imo).
I'd take the gamble, although it's a bit harder I'd say for MP as he's the one who'll get slated if it were to backfire.
All hypothetical anyway, just something I've been turning over in my head since hearing about the ankle knock.[/quote

Rest them regardless the score on sunday keep them on the bench just in case maybe even for west brom too

Re: David Silva...

Thurs night nothing on tv so watching the rags against city, silva is a absolute genius the space the vision the technique this guy has is truly amazing.

Re: David Silva...

I think he is playing better than he ever has - and most pundits have not built that into their assessment of Sunday's game.

Can't believe he didn't get player of the month.

Who picks it? Kenny Dalgish?

Seriously, who does pick it? Because to be fair, every manager, pundit, commentator and even opposing fans drool at how good he is. Neil Warnock said, "Silva is on another planet". I am staggered he didn't win it, the way he's been playing.

-- Fri Apr 11, 2014 9:57 am --
