Meh, Silva is a funny one. He's lovely to watch. He's great at keeping the ball under pressure, his passing is fantastic and he dictates play very, very well. Yet, and I said this before he signed for us, but I'd take Mata every time. At the end of the day, without being as glamourous, Mata is similarly silky on the ball, has excellent vision, yet just produces much, much more.
I find that Silva is easier to mark out of the game, and during his time in England he's flattered to deceive on far too many occasions, even though he still looks "lovely" in the process. Mata, meanwhile, has produced match-winning good on a weekly basis for Chelsea. He does everything that Silva does and more, he's just the slightly uglier sister.
Silva, in fairness, has been great this season, but still not as influential as Mata over the past two years, nor as productive as Ozil during his time at Madrid.

We've got some fantastic players at the club, but I think silva is the key to the whole team. Not blessed with physique but takes the piss out of teams with his movement and technique. This is not a dig at Nasri, he's been brilliant since he joined us but I'm just using him as a comparison. Silva imo is on another level to him, Just shows you how good he actually is.

He's gotta be the most technically gifted player we've ever had? He's up there with Iniesta for me, nobody looks as majestic on the ball as those two.
