David Silva

Don't care how good or world class he is in my book no player is irreplaceable..

I can see our club stop paying silly wages now we will offer what we seem fit if they don't sign we tell the agent to find a club willing to pay more, look at de Jong we offered 100k a week he turned it down so looks like he's of!

I totally agree - lets face it Silva wasn't exactly fantastic 2nd half of last season and we still won the league. Having watched all spains games at the euro's he wasn't great there either.

I'm not saying we should sell him but if 40 mill etc came in for him then it isn't the end of the world.

We would do something - not sure what but we would cope Nasri starting to look like the player we wanted - Possibly Jovetic coming (plays number 10 roll)

Wasn't fantastic but was a class above the rest of the premiership

wait till he has comes out and says he wants gone before people all jump into a blind panic claiming we don't need him and that he is replaceable!

Come a few months when he does sign a new contract and everyone jumps on the "he's class" "best attacking midfield player in the league" ship it makes us look silly!

How do people know its wage demands? Maybe its agent fees that's the problem? Majority of players don't handle their own contacts and pay their agents to handle it for them, for all David could know is that he's into his final stages of agreements, this is why agents should be fucked off in the world of football they cause nothing but trouble!!

well you can replace any player with any other player of course. But some players are so good that it is impossible, or virtually impossible, to replace them without losing something as a squad. Silva is in that bracket. He's amongst the best couple of playmakers in the world and you simply can't just go on The market and buy that quality.

it just sounds like negotiations, the agents want £x, we cant afford £x while Ade/RSC etc etc are on the books.

I can see it being sorted as soon as Ade go's.

Nasri for me has been the better player in our last dozen leagues games, in a way he has stepped up he scored and assisted a goal on Sunday. Silva for the first 3/4 of last season was outstanding and of course I don't want him to go because the more top class players you have the more chance of winning trophies. Personally I think he'll be off next season or the season after but he will sign a new contract..

Where do we draw the line though?

We can't have all our players earning £200,000 per week.

This FFP bollocks has seriously messed up our business model as clearly if it just comes down to who do you want to play for, most players would still select Barcelona,Madrid,Munich,Rags, and to a lesser extent, milan, arsenal and chelsea if all clubs were offering the same money.

Our business model has always been throw money at it and clearly that has now changed as evidenced by our poor transfer window and reluctance to pay silva what he wants and de Jong.

How long before balo, yaya,Tevez start grumbling?

Hopefully this new CEO will get things sorted and back on track. It seems we have missed having someone in that position!

!

We draw the line anywhere but here. If Tevez, yaya and kompany are paid 200k then silva should be.

Kompany is not on 200k I read it was around 140k there is only Tevez and Yaya on 200k because at the time of buying them we were a midtable team we had to offer more wages
