He's at a vital stage in his contract, if isn't renewed this summer we might as well kiss him goodbye.

In a years time I'll start flapping
You should, take a look at Arsenal for a fine example why. Should of been sorted weeks ago.

He has 2 years left as we speak if it gets down to 1 then yeah. If he wants to stay he will sign a new contract. But I suspect we won't be held to ransom if unreasonable demands come in

He is after big, very fcukin big, dollars, do you blame him?

And his agent.

Re: Adebayor (continued)

He's one of the best players in the world at any position and possibly the best player in our squad or even the PL... sort this deal out pls.. Madrid or barca will come sniffing

Doesn't matter if he does sign an extension to his contract if Real Madrid or Barcelona come calling silva might want to leave

If he does then they have to pay our asking price. If he doesn't sign then they will get themselves a bargain.

This maybe where the problem lies. Money may not be the issue but his side could be asking for lower 'buy out,' especially after the way that Tevez was stopped from moving because no-one would meet our valuation.
Silva is a great player, but he's not a Kompany or Zabba who has bought into the Manchester way of life, he's a Canary Island boy.
Playing for City is a job, it's just he's fkin brilliant at his job and to us he's our top man, but the lure of a top team in Spain may prove too strong.

We say we want to sign big players but it's becoming apparent that we don't want to pay the wages that those players demand.
What is the point in fighting to be the best if when you get there you say 'thanks very much' and let your best players leave.

Ridiculous!
