De Bruyne?

City quite brazenly (in my view) put all sorts of dodgy city-related crap on that "What the media says" section on the OS so its no surprise they've detailed the possible Rag/German-Rag involvement - to do anything else would perhaps reveal (circumstantially) their hand

They certainly appear to have no worries about having City matters speculated upon in the various papers etc..

I wonder if The Daily Mirror dare send them a legal letter similar to the one that Ric received ?

It should be mandatory that anyone coming on here and using the terms flap, flappers, flapping, learn how to either debate and accept people have differing views, get a thesaurus, or simply ignore the posts they don't agree with.
Apart from that - confident we'll get him, at least it's exciting - 6 days left, top of the league and playing great football.
Stop flapping

Even if City just walk away we probably wouldn't even know. It appears the Pogba transfer just died but we heard nothing from City to say they had pulled out of any deal.

City board obviously feel no need to let anyone know what is happening with transfers unless they actually sign. Frustrating for the supporters but seems to be their way.

I really hope it stays like that.

Not remotely frustrating to me btw, & I'm wondering how many supporters are actually frustrated by it.

Yeah, City doen't care what's in media when writing those reports, it adds whatever is interesting from media.

City might not make daily official pronouncements on transfer activity, or other aspects of the business but that doesnt mean they dont care what's written about the club.

It just wouldnt be in the club's interests to allow speculation about interest in players such as De Bruyne or Pogba to build up if they were without foundation. Why build up the fans expectations that we're about to make a major signing if its completely unsubstantiated?

I think City have a a fairly pragmatic approach to the media. They know that there's an awful lot of misinformation in the media and that its pointless issuing daily bulletins to try to correct that. But they wouldnt allow a major story to be constantly reported in the media if it were completely untrue.

Then you don't read City media reports regularly as they are regularly putting any kind of City related transfer rumours there. Any kind.
