De Bruyne?

Manchester City could announce a deal for Kevin de Bruyne as early as Monday after reaching agreement on a transfer worth £50 million. The Belgium midfielder is expected to play for Wolfsburg for the final time away to Cologne today and his arrival would take City’s summer spending to about £150 million. He has been offered a five-year contract, worth nearly £230,000 a week, and would be expected to play on the right flank.

He would have bee free to play in League Cup/FA Cup games (and reserves) so prisoner is pushing it a bit
Why even bother to post this ?

It's just arguing for the sake of arguing. As if a player could be kept just on the hope of playing in what could be two games, if he's selected.
Don't understand why you would dig that up at all.

What seems strange here, and probably indicative of how revered Bayern are in German football, is that Wolfsburg, the side that finished 2nd last year, are considering selling their best player to Munich for what will be, even at it's best, a deal which is pretty much identical to the one already on the table from City. Can you imagine the same scenario in England? Arsenal have a deal to sell Sanchez to PSG for £50m, but are waiting to see if United will offer £40m + Ashley Young?! Do German sides not give a shit about directly strengthening their rivals?

Bizarre isn't it Matty.

Even more bizarre when you consider that Bayern's top 10 highest transfer fees are as follows:

Martinez £28m
Vidal £26m
Gotze £26m
Gomez £21m
Nueur £21m
Costa £21m
Benatia £20m
Ribery £18m
Thiago £18m
Robben £19m
Makaay £14m

Yet we are led to believe City are prepared to pay £50m or perhaps even a little more, and at the same time Wolfsburg are talking to Bayern about possibilities? It's just staggering. I cannot for 1 nanosecond imagine that Bayern would offer Wolfsburg anything like what we are offering.

Eden Hazard? And I don't really think it was us who briefed the press, more like it was the Juventus hierarchy who gave the July deadline.

Not sure on Hazard without doing a google search, the pogba stuff was reported by all media outlets that happens when our press officer tells them it's not happening. There are times when city use the press to our benefit and briefing them when a deal is going tits up is one of them.

Would we agree to let him play this last game, after having bid accepted?

With the Cech scenario, he's spent 10 years or so at Chelsea, and didn't want to leave London. Chelsea felt a degree of loyalty to Cech and let him make the move he really wanted.
Wolfsburg have also time and again said that they would respect de Bruyne's decision, so they can't force him to go to Bayern just because they are 'offering' them a player. Unless de bruyne has a sudden change of heart.

People need to stop flapping. It's been widely reported this deal could be finalised on Monday. If we get towards Tuesday/Wednesday without news of a fee being agreed/medical then I might become slightly suspicious.

People panic at suppose Bayern Interest. If as quoted KDB has told Wolfsburg he wants to join city then I very much doubt this will change.

Keep calm and let it pan out. We are strong atm, KDB is clearly an upgrade on Navas but if he weren't to come it would hardly be worth crying over.

In city we trust.
Amen brother
