I disagree. If we ignore the narrative for a minute:
United have appointed a great accountant into their CEO position who is responsible for all departments in the club.
During this time they have bought Blind and Rojo, both World Cup stars, Herrera who was a long term acquisition, then Di Maria, Falcao, Shaw, Depay, Schweinsteiger and Schneiderlin.
This is hard to describe but take out the WC stars of Blind and Rojo then long term Herrera. Di Maria wouldn't have fit United if they paid 500 million for him. Falcao the same, Shaw is a much better United signing and have no issue with, Depay alright, Schweinsteiger laughable and Schnedierlin unproven.
Manchester United built a very particular brand which allowed them to dominate. They have abandoned this and they don't seem to know why their star purchases aren't working and fans are becoming far less interested.
United has a squad built off of an ideal on how to play, a bit like Barca. It doesn't matter how good the players are if they are lost on the pitch.
Have this conversation a lot with the United lads and they are circling the drain, snapping up any vaguely familiar players that they can
