De Bruyne?

If this supposed transfer was anywhere as close as the itks would have you believe for the past month, then he wouldn't be trotting out for Wolfsburg today and risking a Delph hamstring pull.

I find Citys transfer activity as a whole this summer a lot slower than we were led to believe it would be, and still failing to fill the gaping holes in quality and at left back that are glaringly obvious. Theres a hell of a lot of work to do if we are to challenge for the bigger pots, and the sight of this lad playing for Wolfsburg today doesn't exactly fill me with confidence that progress is being made.

Was thinking it was strange him being in the team...if he's so close to signing.

Bollocks.

I still can't work out who exactly he'd replace. My understanding is that we're going to be playing 4-2-3-1. Two holding midfielders with three behind Aguero.
Sterling, Toure and Silva.
If the idea is to put him with those 3 and drop a defence minded midfielder then we're asking for trouble imo.

Or maybe rotate players?

Yaya hasn't been moved up yet, so the best assumption is he'll be one of the two behind. 2 of Yaya/Delph/Ferns.
Then the 3: Sterling Silva DB.

By rotate, you mean drop. However much players stress that they're happy to be part of the squad and accept that they're happy to fight for their place in the starting 11, they don't like it.
They'll say that they weren't given a chance or that they got man of the match one week and didn't play the next.

May be him playing is a little kick up the back side that we need to get things wrapped up...that's if we can wrap it up of course...certainly seems a way off if I'm honest

Toure doesn't play there, he will be deeper with one other.
