December 6th 1969 My earliest City memory. Whats your's?

Relegation to the 3rd tier and Kinkladze leaving I think.

All up hill from there.
Stoke City, 3rd May 1998, my 39th birthday, won nearly £500 on the football that day but couldn't have been more depressed!! The absolute nadir of Supporting City for nigh on 30 years.

Was just the beginning for me, I was nearly 6.

I can clearly remember watching City on a rented TV for the 1956 cup final against Birmingham. My dad went to Wembley but I was considered too young to go with him. I might have been to Maine Road before that match but I'm not sure.

I know we share a birthday from previous messages on here...I didn't even win any fucking money :(
I laughed at that, we got back to our local and I said to the landlady get everyone a drink, meaning everyone on our bus (about 16), a few minutes later she said that's (about) £90, was about £2 a pint at the time, she thought I meant everyone in the pub!! Bad day got worse!

Derby County home 27th March 1970. Lost 1-0. Didn’t see a thing as too small. But I remember me and my dad met my grandad there. That’s all I remember.

Still remembering the 56 Cup Final is amazing. You didn't rent the TV from Swales did you :)

City v Birmingham April 62 lost 4-1,stood above tunnel at the corner between scoreboard end and Kippax. Was also Pardoes first game for us.

I don't remember the game, but my Dad had me shouting, WAGGY-WAGGY-WAGGY, WAGGY-WAGGY-WAGGY, to the amusement of a lot of the City fans, I now know that this was in reference to David Wagstaff, who played for City in the early 60s.
I cant remember any of those early games, spent most of my time on the grass banking at the back of the scoreboard end, and under the scoreboard if it rained.
The only other thing I remember was my Dad saying that we were a good second division team, even at that young age it didn't sit well with me.
