Declan Rice

Seriously? TH has a good track record going back years on here.

Battle of the ITK’s? I don’t think so. There are lots of opinions on here and, by the law of averages, some will be correct, but that’s not a reliable source it’s someone who has a mate that is something to do with City who thinks he knows something…. at best. Id hope the bar is a bit higher than that. If it isn’t then there are hundreds on here.

TH saw Haaland’s insurance documents with City. That’s as good as it gets on BM.

I personally think Rice would be a great fit for us but we then have the issue of what we do with Philips as I think under those circumstances he would be surplus to requirements.

I also think our management are playing a blinder because they are driving up the transfer fee, by creating the illusion of a bidding war, forcing Arsenal to pay a lot more than they would if there was no other interest. This in turn will limit their investment in other additions to the squad.

This is why City will only ever match what others have bid but on better terms. We don’t get involved in bidding wars because we don’t have too.

Nobody doubts TH mate. Doesn’t mean everything he says is correct.

Sorry mate. I understand your info is passed on in good faith but the part about Kalvin being told he won’t get opportunities next season is just complete BS.

I literally spoke to Kalvin one week ago and he has communicated to the club he is 100% staying to fight for his place and he has been assured that he will remain a key part of the first team squad by Pep himself. He’ll get more game time next season if he impresses in training and if he takes the opportunities he’s given.

Fwiw I think Rice ends up at Arsenal. But Sorry dude, but I’m calling absolute bullshit here. One, no way are you speaking directly to a city first team player and then posting it on blue moon and secondly Pep Guardiola does not rate Kalvin Phillips. He couldn’t even get 10-15 minutes when a lot of games were finished and when Rodri was dead on his feet. That was when he was fit. No player Peps signed for the first team squad has featured less. He may dig his heels in and stay but no chance has Pep reassured him of that - how can he “remain a key part”when he was never a key part? Unless it’s the same role as Carson, but for 40+m it’s not!

Believe what you want mate- not that arsed. What Kalvin told me he has literally said to the press on countless occasions in the last weeks !? Why on earth would I not share it when it’s literally public knowledge. Pep was a key factor in us signing Phillips- of course he rates him you pillock. He’s struggled in his first 12 months but has been a key figure behind the scenes for team morale and is actually well liked by all the players and Pep and his coaching team. We will see a different player next year.

Hi. Thanks for the post and info.

Just wondering though - you say this is a close mate, at the club, who is ITK, who you trust implicitly.

But to have a mate this close to you, wouldn’t you have a lot of ITK news on our transfers?
Just wondering why this is the only snippet this mates told you if he’s that solid and close to you?
Not being antagonistic, just asking when did the Mosher start posting inside info on the forum? I've never heard of him posting any type of ITK news before.

I’m ngl I love Tolmie and he’s one of my favourite parts of this forum waiting for his transfer news- but if you’ve spoken to kalvin himself I’m not sure how u can get more ITK on a situation than this. I’ll back kalvin if he’s ready to fight for his place 100% and if it doesn’t work out it doesn’t work out, but can hardly knock the guy if he’s given everything. Still think we need a proper 8 though to be brought in. Kalvin is Rodri cover not a 8 for gundogan

But by showing an interest we are forcing the price up for the gooners- I read somewhere a few days ago that forcing them to pay over the odds was part of our strategy- a journalists view but it makes sense to me.

Don't doubt your info 100 per cent for a second, bud.

Things have moved very quickly in the last couple of days, however.

He has spoken to a couple of people and the landscape may well have changed.

City won't push him out the door, but he's also be informed that they will not stand in his way and he now has a couple of serious offers to digest.

Well aware what might be right on Monday could be entirely different by Tuesday.

No doubt he doesn't want to throw the towel in, but he's now mulling over some concrete stuff.

I don't think it's cut and dried he stays, even if it's not West Ham.
