Denayer looks a fantastic prospect but first team football is a giant leap.Saying that,he really couldn't do much worse than our two last Sunday.

AS is bizarrely claiming that City could sign Ajax's Toby Alderweireld (24, DF) and send him to Atlético on loan in exchange for Demichelis.

AS goes on to say that Atlético would prefer to own Alderweireld, who they are after to replace Demichelis, but City would rather loan him.

This isn't la liga we're talking about. He's as slow as Garcia and smaller too. Every team in the top flight has huge center forwards now. At 32 his chance to test himself here has surely passed him by.

That would be a good move, experience in the short term and a quality young player gaining experience for us long term.

Rodwell is the best shout for me. Sure I seen an interview of his a few years ago with him saying he sees himself becoming a centre half. Feels its his best position.
